Recently, the review meeting of the innovation achievements of the marine economic statistics system was held in the Qingdao area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the "innovative achievements of the marine economic statistics system in the Qingdao free trade area" pioneered in the country successfully passed the expert review. The "innovative achievements" adopted this time are the first in the country to explore the inclusion of marine public management services, marine upstream related industries, and marine downstream related industries into the design of marine economic accounting system, and comprehensively reflect the overall picture of marine economic activities from the fields of marine development, marine utilization, marine protection, and marine upstream and downstream industrial chains. Up to now, 17 of the 18 innovative pilot tasks involving the marine economy undertaken by the Qingdao Free Trade Area have been successfully implemented; the level of facilitation such as trade, investment, talent, capital and logistics in the area has continued to improve, with 21,000 new market entities, which is 1.12 times the total number before its establishment; 10,600 new taxpayers, doubling the total number of taxpayers.
