According to Fox News, on the 19th local time, a flight of American Airlines was forced to return because a passenger refused to wear a mask. The plane was en route from Miami International Airport to London Heathrow airport when it was forced to turn around and land in Miami.
An American Airlines spokesperson said local law enforcement arrived to arrest the passenger after the plane landed in Miami. "The plane landed safely at miami airport and local law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. We thank the crew for their professionalism and apologize to them for the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The spokesman added that the passenger had been placed on American Airlines' "Internal Denied Passenger List." The plane, carrying 129 passengers and 14 crew members, was operated by a Boeing 777 airliner.
