Indonesia's Ministry of Finance said the development of the new capital will be divided into five phases, the first phase will begin in 2022 and continue until 2024, and the entire development is expected to continue until 2045. According to previous estimates, the cost of this relocation project will be as high as 466 trillion Indonesian rupiahs, or about 203.3 billion yuan.
Faced with a huge budget, the Indonesian government hopes to be able to provide at least half of the funding itself, and the rest is expected to seek funding from the international community.
