The East China Academy went to Suichuan to declare the work of internationally important wetlands in Wudoujiang National Wetland Park

On January 19th, Qiu Yaorong, chief engineer of the East China Academy of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Tang Yanglong, deputy director of the East China Academy, visited Suichuan to declare the work of the Internationally Important Wetland in Wudoujiang National Wetland Park, and held a research and judgment work meeting in the afternoon at the County Forestry Bureau, which was attended by Xiao Ruipei, secretary of the party committee of the county forestry bureau, Xiao Limei, member of the party committee, and heads of relevant departments.

Through assessment and analysis, discussion and judgment, experts believe that the Wudoujiang National Wetland Park in the county, as a habitat for migratory birds, supports the migratory bird community of Suichuan Millennium Bird Road, the Chinese Autumn Sand Duck inhabiting the wetland park is very representative, rare and unique, the original ecological environment in the region and the rare plant populations such as Nanmu are of great significance to the maintenance of biodiversity, and the three contents meet the conditions for declaring internationally important wetlands, which points out the direction for Suichuan Wudoujiang National Wetland Park to declare internationally important wetlands.
