"This is an honor that I cherish very much." Knowing that she was rated as an "advanced worker in the national cultural and tourism system", Xie Hong, a team leader and first-class actor of the Jiudu Art Research Institute in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, said that she would not forget her original intention, scrupulously fulfill her duties, and add luster to the development and inheritance of Sichuan opera with full enthusiasm and the new posture of the strivers.

I first entered the pear garden to learn about Sichuan opera

In 1979, at the age of 12, Xie Hong was admitted to the former Yibin Regional Sichuan Opera Troupe, and her Sichuan opera performing arts career also began.

With in-depth study, Xie Hong found her own role positioning in the world of Sichuan opera, a comprehensive art, and began to specialize in Danjiao performing arts. From Hua Dan, who pays attention to image display, to Nu Dan who pursues inner portrayal, to Wu Dan who is proficient in martial arts... As one of the most characteristic professions in Sichuan opera performance, Danjiao, each of which tests the skills of the actors.

Practice your voice, press your legs, bundle your legs, hang your legs, practice your steps, practice your body, practice your singing voice... Young Xie Hong studied hard day after day.

In her academic career, Xie Hong has almost devoted her time to acting studies. "Although many times I am too tired to move, I feel full of energy when I think of what I am doing in the business I love." Xie Hong said.

One minute on stage, ten years offstage. With continuous efforts and persistence, Xie Hong gradually mastered the key to Danjiao performance, laying a solid foundation for the future road of acting.

"Each character's singing dialogue, laughter, and every move are different, which not only require basic skills such as singing, reading, doing, and playing, but also test the actor's understanding and understanding of the characters themselves." Xie Hong said.

Subsequently, Xie Hong chose to worship the famous Sichuan opera artists Zhang Guangru and Hu Qiuhua as teachers, and began a deeper journey of cultivation. Under the guidance of famous teachers and her own research, she has a new understanding and breakthrough in singing voice and performance skills that portray the inner world of characters.

Strive hard to create dreams

"The value of a literary and artistic worker depends on whether he has contributed his due strength to the industry." These are the words that Xie Hong always keeps in mind in his heart. In her view, only the never-ending struggle can make the dream shine into reality.

In her acting career, Xie Hong has gradually won the recognition of her peers and people from all walks of life with her beautiful appearance, crisp voice and delicate and generous performance.

In 1986, 17-year-old Xie Hong, encouraged by teachers and colleagues, signed up to participate in the Sichuan Youth Sichuan Opera Competition and won the second prize for his wonderful performance, "This is my first honor, and I have not failed to live up to my efforts!" ”

In 2001, Xie Hong participated in the 11th National "Stars Award" competition and won the Excellence Award for her performance in "Heart Song".

In 2011, xie Hong won the individual performance award of the second Wenhua Award of Sichuan Province for his portrayal of the character of the heroine "Zeng Beautiful" in the modern Sichuan opera "When the Locust Flower Blooms", which mainly used the grass-roots cadres and villagers of Chunfeng Village in Yibin City to build a new countryside. In 2012, in the movie "When the Locust Flowers Bloom", Xie Hong played "Zeng Meili" again, which became the selected work of the 12th "Five Ones Project" (2009-2012) of the 12th Spiritual Civilization Construction in Sichuan Province.

The hard work on the road of art has made Xie Hong continue to reap fruitful results. She has successively starred in plays such as "When the Locust Flower Blooms", "Plum Girl", "The Legend of the White Snake" and other plays, and has won more than 30 awards in various drama competitions at the national level, Sichuan Province and Yibin City.

Persist in practicing the original intention

As the inheritor of the "Xulu River" Sichuan opera art, Xie Hong is well versed in the principle that "a single branch is not spring". Over the years, she has always tied the inheritance and development of Sichuan opera in her heart and shouldered it.

In May 2020, at the fourth meeting of the Fifth Committee of the CppcC Yibin City, Xie Hong, who is a member of the Yibin Municipal COMMITTEE and the chairman of the Yibin City Literary and Art Branch of the China Democratic League, put forward suggestions: formulate the "Xuluhe" Sichuan opera support policy, learn from the experience of Sichuan opera development in other regions, and entrust professional colleges and universities to recruit and train high-quality "Xuluhe" Sichuan opera art inheritors in a group-led manner.

In order to better carry forward and inherit the "Xulu River" Sichuan opera art, Xie Hong spared no effort to do a good job of "passing on the help", carefully selecting seedlings in the cultivation of inheritors, and carefully guiding one move at a time. She has also successively taught Sichuan opera at Yibin College, Zhongshan Street Primary School and Rongzhou Experimental Primary School, teaching theoretical knowledge and carrying out basic training in Sichuan opera performance.

There is no end to the road of art, and the road of inheritance needs to be adhered to. Today, Xie Hong participates in more than 80 activities such as cultural benefits to the grassroots, drama into the campus, and condolence performances in the barracks every year, which are affirmed and recognized by all walks of life.

"I hope that Sichuan opera will enter the campus through various forms and go to the young people, so that traditional arts can be better inherited and carried forward." Xie Hong said.
