He said that last year, also in the area of Lin Haiping's 4,900-kilogram yellow croaker, some people caught a net of tonnage yellow croaker, because this place is one of the collective "wintering grounds" for yellow croakers. So, what's going on with the "wintering ground" of the big yellow croaker?
In fact, it is very simple, that is, in the winter, the shallow sea water near the land is relatively cold, and the deep sea below 20 meters from the land is warmer, suitable for the giant yellow croaker to inhabit the winter, and from spring to autumn, the sea water temperature in the shallow sea area is relatively high, suitable for the big yellow croaker spawning. Therefore, in order to survive the winter, after November every year, the giant yellow croaker will go to the "wintering field" in the deep sea area to spend the winter, and in the spring and February, the yellow croaker will migrate from the "wintering field" in the deep sea area to the "spawning ground" in the shallow sea area to spawn and breed. Lin Haiping can catch 4900 kilograms of wild yellow croaker in a net, which should be the "old nest" of the big yellow croaker in the "wintering ground" of the big yellow croaker.
Yan Xiaojun told reporters that another reason why fishermen can catch so many large yellow croakers in one net is that over the years, the state has strengthened the protection of the marine ecological environment and fishery resources and improved them intermittently. Since 1995, the "fishing moratorium in the volt season" has been implemented, and multi-departmental joint law enforcement has been adopted to crack down on illegal acts. At the same time, we have also increased the "breeding and stocking" and released 1.55 billion fish of various aquatic fry such as large yellow croaker in the eastern seas, so that marine life can be restored. In the past, due to the protection and supervision is not in place, the accumulation of large yellow croaker resources in the mainland has declined, according to relevant data, in 1974, the annual output of the mainland yellow croaker was 20 tons, but by 2000, it was only less than 30 years, and the annual output fell to 90.35 million tons. In order to protect the resources of the mainland yellow croaker, starting from 2019, Yan Xiaojun led the scientific research project team of Zhejiang Ocean University to launch the restoration project of wild yellow croaker resources in the East China Sea, using intelligent high-end equipment and technology to solve the living habits of the giant yellow croaker, and carry out rewilding training for the rewilding training base of the giant yellow croaker fry, and then release the wild value-added after the fry grow from 5 cm to 10 cm to improve the survival rate of the loin fry. The project has been successful, greatly improving the rewilding viability of the yellow croaker.
Yan Xiaojun said that judging from the individual weight of a net of 4900 kilograms of yellow croakers, most of these large yellow croakers can ovulate and breed in the second year, and now, it is really painful to put them "one pot end".
