The time I read "Millions of Immigrants" happened to be during my attendance at the 11th National Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles in Beijing. After reading it, the mood was excited and excited, and now that I look back and read the work again, it still feels evocative.

"Millions of Migrants" is a reportage reflecting the solution of the problem of millions of peasants in central and southern Ningxia to get rid of poverty and become rich by means of relocation by the party and the government in the past 40 years. Overall, the work has a broad vision, a vivid narrative, rich emotions and philosophical thoughts. Reading this work of reportage literature at a time when our party has achieved the goal of the first centenary struggle, historically solved the problem of absolute poverty that has plagued the mainland for a long time, and is entering the second journey of endeavor, we can not only truly feel the story of Ningxia in China's cause of poverty alleviation, but also deeply appreciate the heroic spirit and fighting spirit of the CPC in leading the Chinese people to change heaven and earth, and we can clearly sort out the footprints of arduous struggle in the historical review, and we can also clearly sort out the footprints of arduous struggle in the historical review, and we can also make painstaking efforts and wisdom. In terms of ideological connotation and the characteristics of artistic creation, I think the work "Million Emigrants" has four characteristics:

First, this is a work that adopts a panoramic perspective to truly record the Ningxia chapter of the national action against poverty. As we know, the Chinese Communists' goal of changing the world and changing China's poor and backward appearance has actually begun from the early days of the founding of the Party. After the founding of New China, leading the Chinese nation to get rid of poverty has better political conditions and political guarantees, and these efforts and practices have been advancing. Judging from the background reflected in this work, from the implementation of the "Three Wests" comprehensive agricultural development by the State Council to the implementation of the first batch of "Hanging Zhuang Immigrants" in Ningxia in 1983. These are all changes that have taken place under the will of the party and the state, and are the Ningxia chapter under the national action of poverty alleviation.

Second, it is a work that tells the changing fate of immigrants and creates vivid and vivid portraits of peasant groups. The work writes different periods of time, different types of immigrants, such as Zhao Pingying under the Helan Mountain is a very inspirational independent immigrant, through these vivid cases of poverty alleviation, in fact, it also points out a direction for the future rural revitalization, that is, the poverty alleviation of the entire Chinese peasant group, to rely on the struggle of thousands of pairs of industrious hands to complete this historical process. This work is based on small views of the big and small, through the narration of the changes in the fate of the peasants, to create a vivid and vivid portrait of the peasants, and then show the changes in the whole era.

Third, this is a work that summarizes the cause of relocation and ponders how farmers can get out of poverty and integrate into the strong tide of the times. This work is thoughtful and problem-conscious. The work is a very vivid description of the past and present of the resettlement and emigration areas. For example, the masses of immigrants from the land where their ancestors have lived for generations suddenly came to a wasteland where there was nothing, and it was inevitable to complain and fear difficulties at the beginning, but through the guidance of the policies and ideas introduced by the party and the government, the immigrants gradually realized that the process of getting rid of poverty and getting rich is actually a person, especially the history of psychological and skill growth, the history of struggle - psychological growth, action struggle, through the unremitting efforts of cadres and the masses, in a windy and sandy ancient wasteland, built one new village after another for immigrants. It has created today's traffic. This work tells us that whether China's ex-situ poverty alleviation immigrant groups are relocated, poverty alleviation and prosperity, or the next step is to achieve rural revitalization, it will be a history of group struggle and self-growth, especially the growth of thought, spirit and soul. For example, Ma Yan, who is written in the work, was illiterate, and the company asked her to do some things that showed her face, and she always shrank her hands and feet. Later, with the help of people around her, she learned to read and learn, constantly sharpened, and gradually became a small Internet celebrity, she sold agricultural products produced in immigrant areas, which not only increased family income but also realized personal value, Ma Yan's change, in fact, is first of all the psychological construction, the growth of mentality.

Fourth, this is a reportage work with deep emotional investment and rich artistic means. As a reportage, "Millions of Immigrants" is very in place in terms of the literary character of the work, whether it is the depth of emotional investment or the means of artistic expression. The work generally uses a realistic writing technique, but its lyricism is also very strong. As mentioned by several experts just now, the author's emotional expression in many scenes such as the farewell of farmers to their homeland is full of tension and very infectious. Why? Because the author is a farmer's son, he has a very deep affection for the homeland of the northwest, the countryside in the northwest, and the peasants in the northwest. At the same time, there are many montage pictures in the work, whether it is the description of the scenery or the presentation of events, it is very picturesque and lens-like.

Finally, I would like to talk about a point, the main place of the story of this work is in Ningxia, but in fact it is a typical story with strong Chinese significance and global significance, which the author has realized, but it can be strengthened and deepened, we are living in a highly globalized era, the problem of poverty is not only a Chinese problem, but also a world problem, through these vivid Chinese stories can better convey Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions.
