Former Prime Minister of Singapore Frankly Admits That If There Is No Hope for Cross-Strait Peace and Reunification, "Armed Reunification" Will Have No Choice My Ambassador: Not abandoning force is not aimed at the people of Taiwan

Taiwan's Taiwan Network 20 January -- For some time now, as the DPP authorities have stepped up their collusion with external forces, US warships have repeatedly sailed through the Taiwan Strait, aggravating tension in the Taiwan Strait. A few days ago, former Singapore Prime Minister Wu Zuodong said at an event that concern about the Taiwan issue has become a reason for China and the United States to start a war. He also bluntly said that if Chinese mainland feel that peaceful reunification is hopeless, "military reunification" will have no choice. In addition, our ambassador to France was interviewed by the French media on the 17th local time to express China's principled position on the Taiwan issue. He stressed: Peaceful reunification is always a priority option, but Taiwan will never be allowed to separate from China. We have not renounced the use of force, and we are not targeting the people of Taiwan, but "Taiwan independence" separatists and certain external forces.

Wu Zuodong: The Taiwan issue may become the reason for Sino-US war

In an interview, Wu Zuodong quoted US Secretary of State Blinken's earlier remarks, saying that Sino-US relations will "compete when there is competition, cooperate when we can cooperate, and must be hostile when we are hostile." Based on this, Wu Zuodong suggested that the two should avoid conflicts due to differences and accept the so-called "healthy competitive relationship" in order to deepen cooperation.

Talking about the current situation in the Taiwan Strait, Wu Zuodong worries that the Taiwan issue may become the reason for Sino-US war. The mainland has reiterated on many occasions that "Taiwan independence" is the "red line," and the more so-called "international space" Taiwan obtains, the more "pressure" it will bear from the mainland. Wu Zuodong said bluntly that if Chinese mainland feel that there is no hope for peaceful reunification, then "military reunification" will have no choice.

Lee Hsien Loong: Risk of Misjudgment in War in taiwan strait "Taiwan independence" is a "red light"

It is worth mentioning that as early as last November, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in an interview with the Bloomberg Innovation Economy Forum that the United States has greatly increased its so-called "interaction" with Taiwan, and Chinese mainland has intensified the test of Taiwan's so-called "air defense capabilities", which will enhance tensions in the Taiwan Strait and lead to miscalculation between China and the United States. Lee Hsien Loong believes that although war will not break out in the Taiwan Strait "overnight," there is indeed a risk of misjudgment.

Lee Hsien Loong stressed: As far as the mainland people are concerned, the Taiwan issue is "the motif of all core interests, and "Taiwan independence" is an absolutely eye-catching "red light." Maintaining the "1992 Consensus" is a feasible way for the two sides of the strait to maintain relations and carry out cooperation, but the Taiwan side has expressed its "non-acceptance." Under such circumstances, the mainland side may "limit Taiwan's international space to the greatest extent possible," but will not take unilateral action "without being offended."

My ambassador to France: The root cause of tension in the Taiwan Strait lies in the provocation of "Taiwan independence."

In view of the so-called "international discussion" caused by the current Taiwan issue, our ambassador to France, Lu Shaye, was interviewed by French television on the 17th local time and answered reporters' questions on relevant topics.

Lu Shaye said: First of all, it must be made clear that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, and the key issue at present is not reunification by force, but rather that the Taiwan authorities and the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces must immediately stop their provocative actions that have escalated the situation in the Taiwan Strait.

My ambassador to France: The United States has not played a good role on the Taiwan issue

Lu Shaye said: Realizing the reunification of the motherland is the common mission of all the people of the Chinese, including the people of Taiwan. Taiwan has been an inalienable part of China's territory since ancient times. That is why China has introduced the Anti-Secession Law. If the Taiwan authorities continue to provoke and the situation heats up, the Chinese government will have to respond accordingly. The United States has not played a good role on the Taiwan issue. It is precisely because the "Taiwan independence" forces are proud of their support from the United States that they dare to go farther and farther down the road of so-called "Taiwan independence."

My Ambassador to France: Peaceful reunification has always been a priority, but there has been no commitment to renounce force

Lu Shaye pointed out that peaceful reunification is always a priority option. The Chinese government has introduced a number of measures to promote cross-strait economic cooperation and exchanges. This is precisely to improve the people's livelihood in Taiwan and bring more benefits to the people of Taiwan. But we will never allow Taiwan to secede from China. We have not renounced the use of force, and we are not targeting the people of Taiwan, but "Taiwan independence" separatists and certain external forces. (Taiwan.com Yin Sainan)
