Customs strengthens the guarantee of customs clearance of personnel and materials for the Winter Olympics

Beijing, January 19 (Reporter Du Haitao) With the Beijing Winter Olympics approaching, the General Administration of Customs has strengthened supervision and optimization services, unremittingly and scientifically and accurately implemented port epidemic prevention and control, and done a good job in ensuring the health quarantine and material customs clearance services for inbound personnel of the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games with high quality and efficiency. As of January 18, Beijing Customs had recorded 819 Winter Olympic transport vehicles; a total of 257 batches of materials were released into the zone with a value of 199 million yuan; and 939 batches were released from the zone with a value of 195 million yuan.

Scientifically and accurately implement port epidemic prevention and control, while doing a good job in the arrival and departure of personnel related to the Winter Olympics, resolutely curb the import of the epidemic through the port. Strengthen communication with the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee arrival and departure center and other departments, grasp the information of personnel entering and leaving the country in advance, implement "one machine, one policy" for all winter-related flights, strict supervision, accurate quarantine, and efficient service. Relying on the paperless customs clearance management system for the Winter Olympics, Beijing Customs simplifies the declaration of the bayonet of winter Olympic materials, continues to smooth the logistics and warehousing channels of winter Olympic materials, implements the "5 +2" appointment customs clearance system, and further realizes the "bayonet channel dedicated, logistics service line, emergency force special allocation, comprehensive coordination commissioner, peripheral security and defense", to ensure that the Winter Olympic materials are inspected on arrival.
