According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, Tesla has begun hiring executives in China who specialize in solving legal issues and foreign relations. Posts have appeared on Weibo – as the number of complaints about the safety and quality of electric vehicles continues to grow in China, automakers need to inject "fresh blood."

Tesla is reportedly hiring PR experts in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Judging by the recruitment of individual positions, the company also needs experts who cooperate with government agencies. Back in May, there were rumours that the company intended to step up its interactions with Chinese regulators and increase its team responsible for liaison with local officials.

Tesla is hiring lawyers who specialize in construction, antitrust law, and customer data protection issues, while also looking for public relations experts.

During the Shanghai Auto Show in April, a car owner was outraged by complaints about a brake system failure, and tesla was pushed to the forefront after climbing on the roof of an electric car. The video of the incident went viral not only in China, but also abroad.

The Chinese market and local capacity are crucial for Tesla. In July alone, 32,968 Chinese-made Tesla electric cars sold, including 24,347 exported.
