André Leon Talley, a respected fashion journalist, former creative director and contributing editor of Vogue magazine, told Fox News that his literary agent, David Vigliano, told Fox News that he died at the age of 73.

TMZ reported that Tully died Tuesday at a hospital in White Plains, New York. The reason for his hospitalization is unclear.

Talley was Vogue's director of fashion news from 1983 to 1987 and then creative director, a position he held from 1988 to 1995. He returned to the publication in 1995 and left in 2013 to serve as its editor-in-chief.
