For many years, every autumn and winter fire prevention period, Liu Jun and Wang Juan and their husband and wife should be busy from 6 o'clock in the morning to 9 o'clock in the evening, carefully observe, make a record, and report the forest fire prevention command center to the forest fire prevention command center every 15 minutes. The husband and wife are accompanied by each other, sticking to the almost "isolated" Wanghai Tower, silently guarding the safety of the forest.

In 1992, Liu Jun joined the work. At the beginning, I worked at the fire inspection station to check whether passing vehicles and pedestrians carried lighters, matches and other fires, and publicized fire safety knowledge. Liu Jun introduced that on the highways of the 1990s, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, bicycles and even horse-drawn carriages were available. In 2008, according to the arrangement of the forest farm, Liu Jun and his wife came to Xiaoguangding Wanghai Tower to carry out forest fire prevention work as observers.

In the depths of the million mu forest sea of Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm, there are 9 artificially guarded Wanghai Towers, distributed at the highest altitude in different locations of the forest farm. At that time, Wanghai Lou was relatively simple, heating the stove and living on a fire. The wooden windows are not tightly sealed, and it often snows heavily outside, and light snow is drilled into the house along the window slits. "With family together, the days are always warm." Liu Jun said that in addition to helping with cooking and cleaning, his wife also helped to keep an eye on duty and record the fire.

Since 2013, the forest farm has been successively renovated and upgraded to improve the accommodation conditions of WanghaiLou. Nowadays, in the Moon Mountain Wanghai Building where Liu Jun and his wife are located, there are complete facilities such as refrigerators, water heaters, and flush toilets, and the Internet is also connected. In October last year, new energy electric heating cabinets were used here.

Forest fire prevention technology is constantly updated, although there are satellites, infrared monitoring and other high-tech equipment, but manual adherence is still indispensable.

One spring, dry thunder did not rain, and the thunder was mixed with ground mines. "Years of observation experience have made me particularly sensitive to thunder." Liu Jun felt something was wrong and quickly went upstairs to check it out. There is a meadow on the north side of the forest farm, which is on the edge of the forest farm. The ground mine split into the grass, ignited the lawn, and began to smoke, and Liu Jun immediately reported to the forest fire command center. Subsequently, others also discovered and reported the fire. Half an hour later, the fire was extinguished in time and did not burn into the forest of Saihan Dam.

With concerted efforts and careful protection, the Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm has not had a single fire since its establishment. "It is not easy to build a forest farm in Saihanba, and my companions and I must continue to work hard to protect this forest sea." Liu Jun said.
