Do Conjoined people belong to one person or two people? Can a Siamese person get married and have children? Will their lives and health be affected by each other? There really is such a pair of Conjoined People in the world, and their lives are enough to answer the above questions.
The siamese, known as the "Bunker Brothers", can also be called the "Siamese Brothers", lived together for 62 years, married two British sisters, slept in a bed with 4 people, had a total of 22 children, and each of them was intelligent and healthy.

The Siamese brothers, who are regarded as omens
In 1811, in Siam's Hak Klong Province (present-day Thailand), there was such a commoner couple, the husband was a Chinese, the wife was a mixed Thai and Chinese child, they were full of excitement and hope for their children to be born.
However, with the sound of loud cries came not joy, but a pair of conjoined babies, their chests connected together, except for sharing a liver, the other organs are independent, and at a time when medical technology is very limited, it is a very risky thing to separate them.
The birth of the conjoined couple is regarded by the locals as a bad omen, they believe that the pair of children is ominous and will bring disaster, and some people have come up with the idea of hanging the siamese on a tightrope to separate them naturally.
Chang and Eun
When the king heard the rumor, he ordered their execution. Fortunately, their parents repeatedly pleaded, and the king's conscience found out that he had spared them, and in order not to let the other villagers hurt them, the king decided to make the two envoys to show his tall image of loving his subjects.
Although the huge physical defects brought a lot of pain and white eyes to the family, their parents still gave them great tolerance and love, and named the brothers "Chang" and "En".
In 1819, Chang And Eun grew up to be 8 years old, but their father died in this year, which undoubtedly made the stormy family worse, without the father's share of the financial resources, the mother in order to support the family, day and night to work, life is stretched.
Chang and Eun's children
Because of their own poor conditions, Chang Anden has no job opportunities, no boss is willing to hire Siamese people to work, in the long run, even they themselves think that their lives are probably like this, and they have to rely on their mothers and others to help them live.
In 1829, when the brothers were 18 years old, they ushered in a turning point in their lives.
A turning point in life
In 1829, the British merchant Robert came to Siam, and by chance he discovered the chang and eun brothers, and with the merchant's keen sense of smell, Robert discovered the business opportunity.
Robert approached Chang and Eun and asked them if they would like to follow him to the United States to make a lot of money, and Chang and Eun immediately expressed their willingness, and the two returned home and told their mother the news. As a mother, although there are many reluctances in her heart, she thinks that she will always have a day to go in the future, rather than waiting for which day, it is better to let them find a way out earlier, so she also readily agreed.
Chang Ho Eun's performance poster
With his mother's consent, Robert left a sum of money and took the brothers to the United States.
After coming to the United States, Robert arranged Chang and Eun into a circus in the United States, and Chang and Eun showed his body to the audience like a clown, fully satisfying people's curiosity.
In the circus days, Chang And Eun was not very happy, because of their strange health and asians, so they could only do the most humble and lowly work, and the income could be imagined. The audience looked at them with contempt, and even so, they had to endure.
Fast forward 10 years, chang and eun's contract with the circus expired, and they decisively left the circus. They hired a professional manager to help them talk business and arrange performances.
In the past performances, most people just regarded them as clowns, and Chang He-eun realized that this was not a long-term solution, so he practiced English hard, learned American jokes, became famous for a while, and became the pillar of the "Lingling Circus", and thus earned the first pot of gold in his life.
The brothers, who had money, bought property and estates, learned from whites, bought black slaves to work for themselves, and renamed themselves "Bunker Brothers" to make themselves more like an American, and chang and eun had become a qualified American citizen and lived a slave owner life ever since.
Married to the British sisters and had 22 children
Relying on the slave two no longer need to go out to perform, the two with successful careers began to think about life again. One day, Chang told Eun that he was no different from ordinary people, and the implication was that he could marry and have children like ordinary people, perhaps with a sharp mind, and this idea was supported by Eun.
Wives
They began to pursue their love. In 1843, they married a pair of English Sister Yates and lived happily ever after, giving birth to 22 children.
In fact, at that time, there were many people who opposed their marriage, and some people accused the Bunker brothers of committing the crime of "bigamy", believing that although they had two bodies, after the bodies were connected, they could only be counted as one person, and they could not marry two wives at the same time, and even some people forced them to give up with violence.
However, the Bunker brothers eventually overcame a lot of obstacles, they insisted that they were two independent people, both personalities and hobbies were very different, and eventually people slowly accepted them and eliminated their hostility to them.
Because of their siamese status, after marriage, they were inconvenient to live alone with their wives, so the brothers made a large bed, 4 people could sleep together in peace, and had 22 children.
Later, due to the stalemate relationship between the Yates sisters, the two swore that they would not interact with each other in old age, so they returned to their own houses to live, which was painful for Chang and Grace. The brothers had to move back and forth, staying in their respective homes 3 days a week.
Live and die together
In 1861, the American Civil War broke out.
Due to the impact of the Civil War, the Changhe'en family, as slave owners in the South, had to return to their old business and perform everywhere, but it was difficult to reproduce the atmosphere that was sought after by thousands of people, and the salary was only enough to support their families.
The grumpy Chang therefore began to drink heavily, the brothers' contradictions were increasing, and even at the expense of a big fight, the two hated not to be separated immediately, but Chang and En's family doctor did not recommend that they do separation surgery, first, this kind of surgery was too risky, and the medical technology at that time was limited; second, the two were over sixty years old, and their physical functions were not as good as before.
Later, Chang suffered from stroke and bronchitis, Eun began to worry and be afraid, if Chang's health is not good, it will definitely affect him, he can't wait to do separation surgery with his brother, but at the same time he can't bear to sacrifice his brother's life, so Eun has been dragging Chang's unhealthy body.
In 1874, Chang fell ill with severe pneumonia.
One evening, Eun wakes up from a dream and finds Chang out of breath. Eun yells frantically, and their son comes to the bedside to tell his father that Chang is dead. If they want to survive, they must have separation surgery as soon as possible, but their family doctor lives far away, and by the time the doctor arrives, Eun's condition is already very bad.
It turned out that during the time of waiting for the arrival of the doctor, the cells in Eun's body produced a large number of red blood cells in order to save Chang, and finally Eun's body could not withstand the consumption of two people, and 3 hours after Chang's death, Eun also passed away.
As Siamese, Chang And Eun was once regarded as a monster, cold-eyed and despised, but they used a legendary life through their own efforts, and now Chang He Eun's liver is still preserved in the Matt Museum in Feicheng, and the Bunker Brothers have become synonymous with Siamese, and more people have a more comprehensive understanding of the disease of Siamese.
No one can decide their birth, but they can decide what kind of life they live. Even if Chang And Eun has irreversible physical defects, they can all live such a wonderful life, as ordinary people, what reason do we have not to strive to love life?
