On January 19, the country's first ultra-low temperature refrigerated transport and processing ship "Ocean Star" was named and put into use in Qingdao, marking another solid step for Shandong Ocean Group to enter the international ultra-low temperature refrigerated transport processing field.
"Ocean Star" ship ultra-low temperature refrigerated transport and processing ship is a special customized ship invested and built by Shandong Ocean Group, which can provide a cargo compartment temperature below -55 °C, mainly used for refrigerated transportation and offshore processing of high-end distant-water catches such as tuna, which will effectively solve the problem of returning and processing distant-water fish in our province, and will bring more high-end and high-quality seafood to the people of the province.
It is understood that Shandong Ocean Group with excellent equipment and the good reputation accumulated in the market over the years, the "Ocean Star" ship before the completion of the launch, won the annual 5,000 tons of bluefin tuna offshore processing contract, the operation volume accounted for one-eighth of the total global bluefin tuna processing, in one fell swoop in the international ultra-low temperature refrigerated storage transportation and processing field launched the Shandong brand.
As a strong practitioner of the strategy of strengthening the ocean province, Shandong Ocean Group has deeply implemented the instructions of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, accelerated the construction of a sound modern marine industry system, and built an ultra-low temperature cold chain industrial chain integrating ship construction, refrigerated transportation and processing, warehousing logistics and international trade with the construction of "Ocean Star" ship ultra-low temperature refrigeration transportation and processing ship as the entry point.
