On the same day, Tianjin held the 173rd press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, and Gu Qing reported that from 0 to 24:00 on January 18, there were 14 new confirmed cases of local new crown pneumonia in Tianjin, of which 2 cases were asymptomatic infected people turned into confirmed cases, 13 cases were in Jinnan District, and 1 case was in Xiqing District. Among the confirmed cases, 12 are mild and 2 are ordinary. There were no new asymptomatic infections. The new cases are all isolated and controlled personnel.

From 0 to 24:00 on January 18, 2022, according to the statistics of positive infections found in real time, 9 new cases of positive infections were reported in Tianjin. The difference between the 5 new confirmed cases and the positive infection of the previous day was confirmed and the classification was determined.

As of 24:00 on January 18, Tianjin has reported a cumulative total of 326 confirmed cases (306 cases in Jinnan District, 12 cases in Xiqing District, 6 cases in Hexi District, 1 case in Hongqiao District, and 1 case in Dongli District), and 22 cases of local asymptomatic infection, of which 10 cases turned into confirmed cases.
