On January 17th, the new building of Dongguan Library Mayong Branch located in Area A of Lingnan Water Town Water Town Culture and Art Center was officially opened. The building covers an area of more than 7,000 square meters, has a total of seven floors, and has a design collection of more than 300,000 books and more than 350 seats for various readings.
The new museum of Mayong Branch Excavates the local cultural heritage, reflects the architectural style of Lingnan Water Town, and integrates cultural elements such as "Gumei Township" and "Water Town" in Mayong to display it on each floor.
The functional areas on the first to sixth floors of the museum are arranged in different color systems, highlighting the theme of the collection on each floor. The interior decoration is beautiful and elegant, which not only has a strong traditional book culture atmosphere, but also is compatible with modern multimedia reading technology. The decoration of local literature and characteristic collection rooms is more based on ancient style, and the furniture is made of mahogany, log and other antique and elegant.
The library has a complete functional area, with a 24-hour self-service library, a self-study area, a visually impaired reading area, a comprehensive reading area, a ladder reading area, a multimedia reading area, an exhibition area, a local document room, a characteristic collection room, a picture book library, etc. Based on the digital service platform, the construction of the new library provides book lending services that are matched with intelligent and networked management, covering the whole district, realizing the functions of self-service borrowing and returning, self-service card handling, retrieval, etc., and adopts radio frequency identification technology (RFID) to support readers' cards, two-dimensional code cards, face brushing and other diversified borrowing methods.

With the construction concept of "Library +", Dongguan Library Dalingshan Branch library has created a "large-scale, chainable" intelligent diversified urban reading station, innovating service forms and extending the tentacles of public services.
"Library + Residential Community" - Everbright Mountain Lake City Urban Reading Station. The station is located in Room 202, Building 1, Shanhu City Garden, with an area of about 200 square meters, a collection of 3,100 books and 80 reading seats.

"Library + Community (Village)" - Daling Village Urban Reading Station. Located on the second floor of the Red Culture Center in Daling Village, the station covers an area of about 200 square meters, with an existing collection of 2631 books and 35 reading seats.
"Library + Café" – Sao Paulo City Reading Station. The station is located in the coffee light food restaurant in the industrial park of Dongguan Paul Leather Goods Co., Ltd., with a highly recognizable "Eiffel Tower" architectural shape. The station covers an area of about 90 square meters, has a collection of 2,000 books and 30 reading seats.
So far, the general branch library system of Dongguan Municipal Library has built 45 urban reading stations, providing citizens with high-quality new reading spaces near home.
