Q4 performance showed a large decline in Q3, mainly for three reasons: First, the tight supply of chips before Q3 in 2021 continued to increase in price, downstream customers grabbed shopping materials, resulting in a certain degree of excess inventory, after which the chip supply tension gradually eased, and after Q3 there was a gradual digestion of inventory demand, resulting in a slight decline in the company's Q4 revenue from Q3, of which, unlike previous years, shipments in December unexpectedly fell sharply;

Second, the company's implementation of the equity incentive plan in November 2021 increased the equity incentive fee, the Q4 research and development expense increased significantly due to the increase in the development of new products such as on-board lenses, and the year-end bonus and Q4 asset impairment increased;

Third, some products in Q4 have lowered their sales prices. Q1 shipments in 2021 are better, affected by downstream customer destocking, we are cautious about 2022Q1 shipments, and it is expected that there may be a slight decline year-on-year.

In terms of vehicle lenses, Yu Hitomi Optics said that the early company has done a lot of market research work, and intentional customers, potential customers, chip suppliers and some vehicle manufacturers and other industrial chain companies to contact and communicate, to receive industry chain companies to visit, on the basis of full market research and technical communication, accurate positioning, planning of the company's products, has built two production lines and laboratories, proofing several products, is continuing to optimize, verify, is expected to send samples after the holiday.

It is reported that the company's first development of products is mainly 360 panoramic surround view lens, such lenses have good versatility, easy to mass production, can meet the needs of different customers at the same time, and the user expansion efficiency is higher. At the same time, the company has more than 20 research projects on in-vehicle lenses. As the established strategic direction of the company, in the future, in-vehicle lenses including front-view, rear-view, surround view, side view, and interior view will be developed in an all-round way.

Yu hitomi optics said that in terms of vehicle-grade lens business, the company's advantages are: 1, the company's on-board team has rich industry experience, technical support and market channel resources; 2, the company's existing coating, plastic molding, glass aspherical molding, core extraction, coating, precision instruments and other major equipment and processes can be used, the construction period is greatly shortened; 3, the company's strategic customers have automotive electronics, automotive optics, automatic driving system business, easy to form product docking. Disadvantages: The company's car lens started late, there was no car lens front-loading products before, no experience to learn from; the research and development and design of vehicle-grade lenses and experienced process personnel are still insufficient and need to be strengthened.

Yu Hitomi Optics pointed out that the company has two on-board lens production lines, one automation line is mainly used to produce standardized products, with a production capacity of 400,000 pieces / month, and a semi-automated line is mainly used to produce small batches of multi-variety personalized products, with a production capacity of 100,000 pieces / month, and the follow-up will be based on customer needs and market changes in a timely manner to increase production capacity. As mentioned earlier, the company's existing site, equipment, precision instruments can be used, capital expenditure is mainly invested in assembly production lines, molds, laboratory equipment, so the investment is not large.

Regarding the difference between the car lens and the security lens, Yu Hitomi Optics said that the main difference is that the reliability requirements of the car lens are stringent, and the car lens not only needs to withstand laboratory tests in a continuous 1000-hour "double 85", that is, humidity 85%, temperature 85 °C (sometimes higher) environment, but also usually needs to go through about 3 months of road testing in different environments.

It is reported that Yu hitomi optics has not yet planned the module production line, the main reason is that the company's customers are mainly module manufacturers, engaged in the business of forming a competitive relationship with customers is not conducive to market promotion. The model of direct supply of lens modules by lens manufacturers to the whole machine factory has its commercial rationality, a typical example is that mobile phone lens manufacturers directly supply camera modules to the whole machine factory, the advantages of which are that one can shorten the supply chain, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and second, the division of responsibility is clear, to avoid due to product quality problems Accessories supply parties blame each other. The company will pay close attention to the development and changes of the industry, conform to the trend of industrial division of labor, and whether the module production line will be launched in the future depends on the specific situation.

In addition, Yu Hitomi Optics said that in 2021, the shipment volume of new energy intelligent driving vehicles is higher than market expectations, accelerating market penetration, at the same time, the intelligent driving level is gradually improving, the demand for intelligent sensors is growing rapidly, and the on-board lens will usher in a period of rapid development.
