When people live, they have to use their lives to explain their beliefs
In the eyes of ordinary people, the main reason why Lei Feng was able to survive through time and space is that he has done many good things and become a warm cultural symbol recognized by the public. A great man once said a very classic saying: It is not difficult for a person to do something good, but it is difficult to do good things for a lifetime and not to do bad things. The person who said this was Mao Zedong, who wrote the inscription for Lei Feng. And ordinary people's praise for Lei Feng is "travel ten thousand miles, good things have done a train".
Why can Lei Feng do good deeds and do good deeds for a lifetime? Here is the spiritual support behind doing good—faith. Faith is a creative force. A lofty faith can often make weak people strong, ordinary people become great, and personality sublimated! In order to adhere to their faith, a person often perseveres in overcoming difficulties and even uses his life to realize his own faith. Therefore, the English poet Ma Puton once said: "When man lives, he must use his life to explain his faith!" ”
Beliefs have secular beliefs and religious beliefs, which have their own boundaries and intersections, and have their own different characteristics and corresponding lives.
Secular belief refers to people's belief and reverence for a certain theoretical doctrine, and to enshrine it as their own code of conduct and guide to action. In layman's terms, faith is the choice and holding of the outlook on life, values and world outlook, the general view of the world and life, and it is the spiritual bond of an organization, a society, and a country. It is the spiritual foundation and spiritual driving force for unity and progress. It is the orientation function of life value, the control function of social order, the cohesion function of social forces, and the dynamic function of behavior choice.
There have been many classic statements about the importance of faith to us. On July 11, 2013, in Xibaipo, a place of special significance, the question of "catching up with the examination" was raised, and the faith of communists was vividly called the "general switch". All party members are called upon to face all kinds of temptations and challenges to "adhere to the lofty faith and cultivate the incorruptible body of King Kong." The National Conference on Propaganda and Ideological Work emphasized that what kind of beliefs there are, there will be what kind of choices, and what kind of ideals there are, what kind of directions there will be.
The reason why Lei Feng became "Lei Feng" is that he grasped the general switch of faith
Opening the diary of Lei Feng's spiritual monologue, the light of faith is directed at the heart of every reader. The outlook on life that Lei Feng has established for himself is "to be born for the people's livelihood, to die for the people", and to "always be ready to sacrifice everything for the highest interests of the party and the class, up to life".
At the Fushun Lei Feng Memorial Hall, a set of "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" read by Lei Feng before his death is on display. Above you can see many eyebrow criticisms and experiences written by Lei Feng. Lei Feng closely combines the realization of the value of life with the realization of lofty ideals and thinks deeply about the meaning of life. He wrote in the blank space of the last page of his article "Serving the People": "I think that when a revolutionary lives, he should devote his life and his whole life to the cause of human liberation——— communism." I live with only one purpose, and that is to be a useful person to the people. ”
Lei Feng also said: "Human life is limited, but serving the people is unlimited, and I want to devote my limited life to serving the people infinitely." This passage vividly interprets the concept of serving the people, profoundly grasps the dialectic of "finite" and "infinite" of life, and becomes Lei Feng's most deeply rooted quote.
According to statistics, in the "Lei Feng Diary" and other related texts, the word "people" appeared more than 100 times; there are more than 200 well-documented good deeds he has done. In this way, it is not difficult for us to understand why Lei Feng has been doing good things all his life. Because he always had the party and the people in his heart, he regarded whether it conformed to the interests of the people and whether it matched the title of Communist Party member as the highest measure of doing things.
What is Lei Feng's belief, Mao Zedong summed it up as serving the people (see Mao Zedong's inscription "Learning from Bethune, Learning from Lei Feng, Serving the People"), which Comrade Zhou Enlai summarized as "the communist style of public and selflessness".
When we come to the world, we live in an environment where the interests of people and between individuals and society intersect, and we will face many choices of interests. We may make some "altruistic" moves out of innate compassion for our kind, or a cultural philosophy of "good and evil are rewarded", or a religious feeling of "self-salvation". These are all beautiful and respectable, but there is still a distance from the height of Lei Feng's "wholeheartedness", due to the lack of scientific and rational Communists at the bottom of the thick faith foundation, the support time will not be long and unstable.
We can understand in this way that Lei Feng is showing his noble behavior in the image of a communist fighter, and he tells people what kind of life a fighter who strictly abides by the values of the communists should have, and what kind of behavior style should have in the ideal society we pursue, which is related to the construction of the spiritual world of the Chinese, and is related to people's expectations for the future and the choice of the direction of social development. In the early stage of China's socialist construction, despite experiencing economic shortages and various severe challenges, China did not fall into a crisis of faith, and we must not ignore the brilliance added by lei Feng's spirit to the "isms" and systems! Even today, towards national rejuvenation and the process of realizing the Chinese dream, Lei Feng still illuminates our hearts and gives us strength.
Summarizing Lei Feng's growth path, we came to a conclusion of perfection and beauty: "Lofty faith and firm belief are not unattainable, and Lei Feng, Jiao Yulu, Yang Shanzhou, etc. are vivid examples." They have struggled for the party and the people all their lives, and they cannot do it without lofty faith and firm conviction. This is the most profound interpretation of Lei Feng's life code.
The starting point and purpose of learning from Lei Feng's activities is not to simply imitate Lei Feng to do good deeds, but to act and do things like him, establish the correct "three views", and establish our spiritual superiority
Lei Feng started bit by bit, continued to seek the interests of the people, and became a capital person, and the fundamental motivation was to establish a lofty faith. This clear judgment logic guides the starting point and purpose of Lei Feng's activities, not simply imitating Lei Feng to do good things, but people like him, doing things, establishing the correct "three views", and establishing our spiritual superiority. It is necessary to vigorously strengthen ideological and moral construction. The energy of faith, the mind of great love, the spirit of selflessness, and the enterprising spirit possessed by Lei Feng, Guo Mingyi, and Luo Yang are the best portrayal of our national spirit, and they are all the backbone of our nation. It is necessary to give full play to the exemplary role of heroic models in all aspects, vigorously stimulate the positive energy of society, and provide a strong spiritual driving force for the realization of the "Chinese Dream".
In a certain sense, the essential characteristics of man and society lie in their spirit, and spiritual superiority is the real advantage of man and human society. As early as the period of the October Revolution in Russia, Lenin pointed out: "Victory must be won every day, even if it is not a small victory, and in any case it must maintain 'spiritual superiority'." In the process of reform and opening up, Deng Xiaoping also constantly stressed: "In the past, no matter how weak our party was and no matter what difficulties it encountered, it always had a strong fighting capacity, because we had the conviction of Marxism and communism. With a common ideal, there is also an iron discipline, which is our real advantage, whether it is, is, and will be. ”
Faith is the foundation of a moral society
A professor once told a touching story. Around the 1980s, 168 PLA commanders and fighters sacrificed their young lives in the Battle of the Duku Highway in The Tianshan Mountains of Xinjiang. On this road that benefits the people of Xinjiang, on average, 1 young soldier is sacrificed every 3 kilometers.
In the winter of 1980, more than 1,500 officers and men who built the road were trapped by a blizzard in the depths of the Tianshan Mountains at minus 30 degrees Celsius, and the only telephone line with the outside world was also blown off by the wind, and everyone was in danger of freezing to death and starving to death without food. In order to get in touch with the construction headquarters 40 kilometers away as soon as possible, the young soldier Chen Jungui was ordered to accompany the squad leader, deputy squad leader and another veteran soldier to report to the headquarters for rescue. At an altitude of more than 3,000 meters above sea level, they braved the wind and snow and struggled to move forward. However, the headquarters of the troops had not yet been found, and only the last of the more than 20 steamed buns they carried with them was left. At the critical moment when everyone was hungry, the squad leader made a decision that Chen Jungui would never forget for the rest of his life: "I and the deputy squad leader are Communist Party members, only Chen Jungui is a recruit, young and young, and the steamed buns are for him to eat." Soon, the squad leader and deputy squad leader fell silently one after another, and after Chen Jungui and the old soldier fell off a cliff and were rescued by Kazakh herders, they finally reported the news that the construction officers and men were besieged by a blizzard to the command headquarters. Later, Chen Jungui received treatment in the hospital for four years due to severe frostbite, and was demobilized and returned to Liaoning in 1984. After marrying and having children and living a comfortable life, he still missed the squad leader in his heart.
In the winter of 1985, he decided to quit his stable job and returned to the foot of the Tianshan Mountains with his wife and newborn son, where he built a simple house on a hillside closest to the grave of the squad leader to guard the tomb of the squad leader. This is more than 20 years.
The inscription in the Martyrs' Cemetery reads, "Man is the road that lies down, and the road is a monument erected."
Nowadays, some people who hurry to hurry have lost their sense of direction, cannot find their own faith, and their spirit is in a state of no refuge, they are emotionally poor, they do not pursue lofty ideals, they are full of pessimism about the prospects of life, they feel that reality is boring and empty, and their attitude towards life tends to be decadent; in society, utilitarianism and moral decline are becoming more and more serious, it is difficult to communicate with each other at the spiritual level, social estrangement is increasing, and society is pervasive with impetuous and extreme irrational emotions. This state of mind has had a serious impact on society and human development. On the one hand, corruption, hedonism, and money worship have prevailed, and socialist and communist ideals and beliefs have been eroded and weakened; on the other hand, the synergy of social development has been continuously reduced, and the cost of development has been increasing.
As the saying goes: "No rules, no squares." "For the country to be rich and strong, the nation to be rejuvenated, and the society to develop, we must not only rely on the implementation of various laws and regulations, but also need a harmonious and stable social environment - a moral society." Morality is the foundation of people's healthy life, moral society is a society in which people are physically and mentally healthy, and faith is the basis for building a moral society. Faith is not only the coordinates of people's spiritual pillars and moral choices, but also can enhance people's moral realm, shape people's moral personality, and point out the goal and valuable way of life for moral behavior. Only by starting from the moral and belief system and enhancing the moral cognition and spiritual belief of the whole people can we fundamentally eliminate all kinds of negative things and curb the breeding and spread of corruption and other criminal acts. Among the spiritual wealth that can nourish our nation, the Lei Feng spirit is an important part. The spirit of Lei Feng is a profound manifestation of the spiritual strength of mankind in the very difficult material conditions and the transformation of the times, and is a lofty spirit produced under the influence of communist ideology under the conditions of China's new society and new era, which not only adheres to China's excellent traditions, but also distinguishes it from the various spirits of China's previous society, showing new characteristics and great strength.
Every time we face Lei Feng face to face, we can always feel a new attitude towards life, and there will always be a special force that reaches our hearts. Finally understand that this is lei feng's life force, this is lei feng's life deduction of the faith force.
