According to reports, after the Taiwan military F-16V fighter fell into the sea on the 11th, search and rescue personnel continued to salvage, found sporadic human physiological tissues, and after comparing DNA, it was confirmed that it was pilot Chen Yi himself, and it was determined that he was killed. Since Chen Yi's body has been broken, salvage operations are still continuing. On the 17th, the salvage personnel found the suspected military uniform, scalp, skull and other tissues, and sent them to the Forensic Research Institute for DNA comparison.
Cai Yingjun, spokesman for the chief prosecutor of the Chiayi District Prosecutor's Office, said that combined with the results of the previously found human tissue and DNA comparison, Chen Yi suffered multiple blunt traumas all over the body in the crash, and died of traumatic shock, which was an accidental death. Taiwan's "Air Force Command" issued a press release on the evening of the 17th announcing that the black box of the crash had been found and would be sent to a professional unit to identify the cause of the accident.

Taiwan media said that the wrecked plane had appeared in the cabin the day before the incident (10th) the toxic gas penetration warning light was lit. However, the Taiwan military clarified that what lit up was the "emergency power machine" light number, which was confirmed to be a "false flash."
The F-16V Wing is the Fourth Tactical Fighter Wing of the Taiwan Air Force, which was formed at the Chiayi Base of the Air Force on November 18 last year, and has only been in force for 54 days, and about 60 F-16V fighters are currently installed by the Taiwan Air Force.
