In the past, Chinese pilots were mainly selected from high school students, college students and college graduates, and eventually flowed to civil aviation companies or troops. In recent years, with the improvement of the pilot training system, the source of domestic airline pilots has been concentrated in three ways: one is to entrust the civil aviation flight academy training, one is to transfer the air force to the industry (also known as "military to civilian"), and the other is to recruit foreign pilots. No matter which way you become a pilot, you need to go through two stages: selection and training.
In China, the current training of civil aviation pilots is mainly based on the civil aviation entrusted training model, which is divided into two types: "major driving reform" and "cultivation of students".
Pass the test
Pilot selection is referred to as "selected", there are many links and assessment criteria, of which the physical examination is considered to be the saddest level. This is because during flight activities, pilots may be exposed to environmental influences such as high oxygen vacancy, low air pressure, cold, noise, vibration and acceleration, which determine the physical fitness of pilots.
Taking the physical examination of civil aviation pilots as an example, there are dozens of physical examination items in large and small sizes, of which the vision examination is the most stringent, which is also one of the items with a relatively large number of eliminated people. Vision loss, the observation distance can not be too far, such as far vision 1.0 if dropped to 0.8, the distance between the front and back visual distance is nearly 500 meters. In addition, in flight pilots need to accurately read out a variety of instrument indications, video display data information and ground contact, if the vision is not good, it will directly affect the control and safety of the aircraft.
In the initial inspection stage, the assessment of responsiveness is also an important link. In this physical examination program, there is a small test that everyone is familiar with, the candidate needs to keep his head down and turn 20 times in place and then walk in a straight line, this test mainly examines the physical balance of the candidate.
In daily life, seasickness is the embodiment of poor balance function of the human body, also known as vestibular dysfunction. The vestibular is the vestibular receptor located in the human body's ear, which is the main peripheral receptor of the human body's balance system. When the aircraft makes a circling motion during flight or encounters a bump in the air current, the vestibular organs are strongly stimulated. People with sensitive organs will have dizziness, nausea, vomiting, cold sweat, rapid heartbeat, increased blood pressure and other phenomena due to this strong stimulation, and in severe cases, they may also cause the illusion of flight and endanger flight safety, so such people are not suitable for pilots.
To become a pilot, you must first pass the physical examination, and then the candidates also have to face the knowledge level examination, psychological quality assessment, airline interview, political review and other successive levels, and those who have passed the physical examination and the previous tests will be sent to domestic and foreign aviation schools for flight piloting skills and professional English training.
