Russia is known as a fighting nation, and after independence, it has been fighting continuously for hundreds of years, expanding its territory 400 times, and beating down many strong peoples. And for hostile countries, there is revenge. In the most typical country, 300,000 troops were sent to help when Germany invaded the Soviet Union, and after the war, the Soviet Union retaliated by shooting all 23 senior officials, including its head of state.
This country is the ancient country of Europe, Romania, which covers an area of more than 230,000 square kilometers and has a population of less than 20 million. Since modern times, it has been constantly attacked by Russia, and the territory has been shrinking. Moldova was also a duchy of Romania at the time, but it was strategically important, and Russia annexed it before World War I and spit it out after the October Revolution.
Since then, the re-established Soviet Union has always been obsessed with Moldova, always wanting to swallow it again, and even take all of Romania. On the eve of the Soviet-German War, the Soviet Union took advantage of the German siege of Western Europe to not only divide Poland, but also directly annex moldova, and further attracted the war to Romania. To this end, the Romanian national leader Antonescu, who had just come to power at the time, began to turn to Germany in order to resist the Soviet Union.
After coming to power, he joined the Fascist Axis group formed by Germany, Japan and Italy, and implemented complete German subsidiarity at home, and the economy became part of the German war machine. And a huge army of 1.8 million was formed. On June 22, 1941, Germany launched a war to invade the Soviet Union, with 5.5 million troops, including 300,000 elite Romanian troops. Romania's intention was to fight germany, and once Germany was victorious, it could take back the Moldova region occupied by the Soviet Union.
Therefore, since then, these 300,000 troops have fought in the Soviet Union and have been increasing. However, after the stalingrad defense war, Germany gradually declined, and finally the army was defeated. Soviet troops entered Romania in 1944 and supported the Romanian revolution, which directly overthrew Antonescu's rule. Under Soviet arrangements, Antonescu was shot en masse in 1946 on charges of treason, along with 22 senior government officials, as in the Case of Katyn massacre in Poland.
It was not until more than 60 years later that romanian courts rehabilitated their head of state, Antonescu, and restored his reputation. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the little brother Moldova also became independent, and Romania still remembered it and always wanted to unify Moldova. After Moldova became independent, life was difficult, so I also wanted to live a good life with my eldest brother. But Russia is adamantly opposed because of moldova's strategic location, and it does not want to lose control of it.
