As the finale of the series of books "The Collection of the Palace Museum and the Compilation of Calligraphy", the "Qing Dynasty Volumes" has a total of 15 volumes, selecting the calligraphy works of more than 1,400 calligraphers in the Qing Dynasty, which is a huge production that took five years to complete.

It is reported that the "Collection department of the Palace Museum" is known as the "Forbidden City on Paper", and has published more than 100 volumes such as painting compilation, calligraphy compilation, sculpture compilation, jade compilation, and rare book special collection compilation. The Palace Museum Collection Of Calligraphy Edition lasted for 10 years from the publication of the first volume in 2012 to the end of 2021, and finally ended with a full set of 35 volumes from the Jin, Tang, Song, Yuanming to Qing Dynasty calligraphy, which is a huge production of the cultural relics inventory achievements of the Palace Museum, and is also the most complete collection of calligraphy and cultural relics in the academy, adding important materials to the academic research of Chinese calligraphy and the study of famous artists.
The "Qing Dynasty Volumes" selects and collects representative works from different periods, including the authentic works of the empress, the Hanbao of the library and the calligrapher's remains, among them, there are a large number of calligraphers' works that have not been published publicly, which comprehensively shows the grand scene of Hanmo in the Qing Dynasty, presents for the first time the Collection of the Palace Museum involving many famous heads, diverse faces, strong sense of the times, and distinctive styles, and provides the public with an authoritative catalog and pictures of the Qing Dynasty calligraphy Palace Collection, which is a rare compilation of physical materials on the history of Chinese calligraphy, which has important research, appreciation and learning value.
"The Forbidden City and its collection of various cultural relics are the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient people and carry the excellent traditional Chinese culture." Wang Xudong, a member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and president of the Palace Museum, said that the "Palace Museum Collection Department and Calligraphy Compilation" is a phased summary of the palace museum's inventory of cultural relics for decades, and it is also the embodiment of the palace museum's excellent tradition of advocating academic research and attaching importance to cultural dissemination. The Palace Museum will continue to increase the construction of the "Peaceful Forbidden City, Academic Forbidden City, Digital Forbidden City and Dynamic Forbidden City", and continuously launch various cultural products based on academic research, so that cultural relics can truly "live" and make greater contributions to the prosperity of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
