The disease is so common that 1 person dies every 21 seconds! These symptoms should be paid attention to

author:Bright Net

Stroke, which we often call "stroke", is the loss of human function caused by acute cerebrovascular disease, and is known as the "number one killer of human health". Surveys have shown that stroke has become the number one cause of death from disease on the mainland and the leading cause of disability among adults. Every 21 seconds in the mainland, 1 person dies from stroke, the average age of stroke onset is 66 years old, and patients under 45 years old are currently close to 1/5 of the total number of patients.

What are the characteristics of stroke?

Stroke is a disease of four highs.

High incidence: The World Health Organization has come up with a 1/6 concept. Regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, 1 in 6 people, there will be a stroke in their lifetime.

High mortality: the cause of death in mainland China ranks first, higher than tumors and cardiovascular diseases;

High disability rate: 60%-70% of patients will retain some disability symptoms, severe bedridge paralysis, mild leg and foot disability or speech impairment;

High disease burden: the cost of medical rehabilitation for stroke sequelae is high, patients are often incapacitated, and the burden of disease is heavy.

What exactly causes stroke?

Stroke is an acute cerebrovascular disease. There are two main categories:

1. Hemorrhagic stroke, cerebral infarction caused by rupture of blood vessels in the brain.

2. Ischemic stroke, due to arterial vascular blockage, causing cerebral ischemia. Patients account for 70%-80%. Most strokes are caused by cerebral ischemia, and ischemic stroke has many causes:

Hardening of the arteriosclerosis of the cerebral vessels;

Atrial fibrillation, valvular disease, the formation of blood clots along the blood vessels to the brain, blocking blood flow caused by cerebral ischemia;

There is a problem with the blood itself, which is easy to form a blood clot and appears to block the blood vessels on the arterioles of the brain.

Why is stroke getting younger?

According to statistics, patients under the age of 45 account for nearly 20% of the total number of strokes. The reason is that in recent years, chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes are getting younger and younger, patients usually ignore blood pressure and blood sugar problems, when the body appears on one side of the limb weakness, dizziness, language disorders and other signs, did not seek medical treatment in time, missed rescue treatment time led to cerebral infarction.

Why is neck massage a stroke risk?

There are four arterial blood vessels in the neck of the human body, two carotid arteries in the front and two vertebral arteries in the back, and the vertebral arteries walk through the cervical vertebrae. The human arterial blood vessels are divided into three layers: the inner membrane, the middle membrane and the outer membrane. When doing neck massage, if repeatedly rubbed by severe external forces, the vascular membrane structure is torn open, the tube wall is ruptured, forming an arterial dissection, and the blood enters the middle of the dissection and gradually blocks the blood vessel, resulting in ischemia in the blood supply area of the brain. Dizziness, speech weakness, visual and physical problems will appear accordingly.

Why is face filler surgery a stroke risk?

Facial blood vessels belong to different blood supply systems than brain blood vessels, but there are some anastomosis branches between them. Normally, facial blood vessels run on the face and cerebral blood vessels run in the skull.

Once the face is filled with some substances, accidentally hit the filling material into the arterial blood vessels, when the pressure is relatively large, the blood will flow backwards, squeezed into the blood vessels in the skull, resulting in abnormal blood supply to the brain. Fat and hyaluronic acid are difficult to dissolve, and surgery is not easy to remove, and patients are difficult to treat.

Can eating peanut rice prevent stroke?

Peanut rice contains unsaturated fatty acids, coagulation factors and other nutrients, which have a certain protective effect on our blood vessels and even the brain. However, peanuts are high in fat and need to be eaten in a controlled amount.

Blood pressure is no problem, stroke does not need to be mentioned?

Among the risk factors for stroke, hypertension ranks first. But a poor lifestyle can also lead to stroke. Smoking, obesity, anxiety, emotional instability, lack of sleep, etc.

When smoking, harmful substances can enter the human blood and damage blood vessels. This damage is more serious than blood sugar and blood lipids.

When a poor lifestyle leads to large fluctuations in blood pressure, it is easy to form aneurysms, causing blood vessels to rupture. Hyperlipidemia, which is prone to plaque in blood vessels, leads to narrowing of blood vessels, causing hypotension, hypoperfusion ischemia in the brain, leading to stroke.

Carotid artery examination equals stroke screening?

Normally, the primary cause of stroke is atherosclerosis. The blood vessels in the human brain are divided into neck blood vessels and intracranial blood vessels. Carotid artery examination cannot detect intracranial vascular conditions.

High-risk screening for stroke: cerebrovascular intracranial ultrasound, CT, MRI.

Vascular screening can be done for people with risk factors in the early physical examination, or for people with a family history.

Stroke onset suddenly can not be prevented?

Risk factors for stroke are divided into variable factors and immutable factors.

Immutable factors: age, family genetic history, higher incidence in men than in women, higher incidence in older people than in young people.

Variables: hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, heart disease. These diseases, if well controlled, can greatly reduce the incidence of stroke.

Special attention: transient ischemic attacks, crooked corners of the mouth, limb weakness and numbness, dizziness, sudden headache, walking instability, these transient symptoms may be precursors to stroke, should be immediately examined. According to statistics, after transient symptoms, 1/3 of patients will turn into cerebral infarction.

Can stroke be cured?

In ischemic stroke, 20% to 30% of patients can be cured, but the disability rate is 70% to 80%.

If the treatment is timely, through thrombolysis and thrombolysis, 50%-60% of patients will heal well.

Stroke, though dangerous, is preventable and curable. The most critical thing in the treatment process is time. The golden rescue time of stroke is within 4.5 hours after the patient develops symptoms, and the shorter the thrombolytic drug is used, the higher the cure rate.

Cure rate of 80% within 0.5 hours

Cure rate of 60% within 3 hours

Cure rate of 40% within 4.5 hours

Key points: Stroke patients should be treated quickly, and a hospital with a green channel for stroke must be selected, and patients can complete the examination within 0.5-1 hours and administer drugs quickly.
