Negotiations break down and the drums of war beat! Will doom come to Ukraine?

author:Riba

As a riot in Kazakhstan subsided, the world's biggest focus returned to the Russian-Ukrainian border. In recent days, on the Ukraine issue, Russia has held a round of "three-in-a-row" talks with the United States, NATO, and the OSCE. In the midst of everyone's attention, this series of talks collapsed one after another. As a result, the dark clouds of war hung over the land of Eastern Europe.

Negotiations break down and the drums of war beat! Will doom come to Ukraine?

The previous day, Russia-OSCE talks ended, the last talks to be held in recent days, according to the Observer Network reported on January 14. Afterwards, the Polish foreign minister issued a warning, saying the OSCE region was "at risk of the greatest war in 30 years." Then the U.S. representative to the OSCE pointed out: "The drums of war have been beaten very loudly." At the same time, another Russian representative bluntly pointed out that although the Russian side does not give up diplomatic efforts, the current situation is disappointing, and if the Russian side's security demands are not met, it will have "disastrous consequences.".

These remarks by the parties to the talks undoubtedly send a very obvious signal that the talks have collapsed, the differences between the parties are too great, and Russia's demands have been rejected by the United States and its Western allies. In fact, Russia's demands, to put it bluntly, are the bottom line that Russia has been adhering to, and it is likely that since December last year, the Russian side has repeatedly mentioned the "red line" drawn by Putin, the draft security treaty and so on. The most core content is nothing more than a guarantee from the United States and NATO: it will not include Ukraine in NATO; it will not deploy troops and weapons and facilities in Ukraine; and NATO will not continue to expand eastward. In Russian parlance, "Behind us is Moscow, and we have no way to retreat."

For the sake of its own hegemonic interests, the United States must establish Russia as an enemy of the entire NATO military bloc, or to expand the conflict to completely drag down Russia's national strength; or to stimulate relations between Russia and Europe and not let Russia-Europe relations get closer; of course, perhaps to turn Europe into a dangerous powder keg of war and to expel European capital to the United States... In short, the White House has a variety of ghost ideas, and has always been keen to act as a "churning stick", which must make chaos between Russia and Europe.

Watching NATO's eastward expansion continue to approach its own doorstep, Russia is of course furious. The current situation is that even if Ukraine eventually fails to join NATO, it is intolerable for Russia to allow the United States nato to build a military base on its territory. After all, Putin has long warned that if there is a missile base on the Ukrainian border, the missile can land in Moscow in only 4 to 5 minutes after launch. At present, since Russia is unwilling to endure any longer, and the United States and NATO are unwilling to give in, the final result will only be one - Russia is determined to use force to solve it.

Although Russia does not want to start a war on its borders, it is now becoming more and more involuntary. The United States still seems to be playing with traps, forcing Russia into the mire of war. Recently, the US National Security Adviser Sullivan is still continuing to arch the fire, playing up Russia's plans to "invade" Ukraine, and convincingly claiming that the US military has obtained relevant intelligence, which can prove that Russia will inevitably start a war.

Now that Russia's multi-party talks have collapsed, the biggest risk is neither Russia nor the United States and its allies, but Ukraine. In other words, Ukraine is likely to face an unbearable doom.

Negotiations break down and the drums of war beat! Will doom come to Ukraine?

In the situation between Russia and Ukraine, ukraine is, on the face of it, one of the two major parties. But in reality, Ukraine is just a pawn arbitrarily manipulated by the United States and NATO, as can be seen from the three talks that just ended. This series of talks talked about the fate and future of Ukraine, but the Ukrainian side did not appear at the negotiating table from beginning to end. It is clear that Ukraine is not at all qualified to dictate its own destiny. Where does the future lie? It's all between the idea of the United States and its Western allies, and most specifically, the United States. If you use a popular way to describe it, it is equivalent to Ukraine pinning its head to the waistband of the White House politician's pants.

Ukraine's future is bleak, and it is estimated that the Zelensky government knows it, but there is no way to do it. Today's Ukrainian politics is almost all inextricably linked to the united States and Western powers, and even the public opinion of Ukraine has long been Westernized, enough to kidnap the Zelensky government. Obviously, today's Ukraine is on the way to the end of a self-aware cliff abyss, but its feet are not heeding.

Looking at the situation in Russia and Ukraine, ukraine's tragic fate can be said to have once again warned the world: any country that ties itself to the US chariot and dares to dance on the cusp of the great power game will not have a good end!
