In the seventeenth year of Chongzhen (1644), Li Zicheng attacked Beijing, the Chongzhen Emperor hanged himself at Coal Mountain, and the Ming Dynasty fell. However, after the death of the Ming Dynasty, many people did not follow the tide, and Zheng Chenggong was undoubtedly one of the more famous ones. After the Qing army entered the customs, he organized daming's orphans along the fujian coast to resist vigorously, and once occupied the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Zheng Chenggong used his strength to shelter all those who were effectively loyal to the Ming Dynasty, and insisted on opposing the Qing Dynasty and restoring the Ming Dynasty all his life.
But he died at the age of 39, for two reasons, except because his father was beheaded, the source of economic and trade cuts was cut off, and the tomb of the Zheng family's ancestors was also planed. Nei, on the other hand, was a scandal in the Zheng family that prompted him to order the killing of his wife, eldest son, and grandson before his death.
Zheng Chenggong's wife was Dong Yougu, who was the niece of Dong Biaoxian during the Chongzhen Dynasty. Chongzhen married Zheng Chenggong in the fifteenth year (1642 AD), and she was very virtuous and thrifty. When Zheng successfully resisted the Qing, she managed things internally. The scandal did not happen to her, but her son, Dong Yougu, gave birth to five sons to Zheng Chenggong, of which Zheng Jing was the eldest son. For this eldest son, Dong Yougu and Zheng Chenggong were very fond of each other, and when he was nineteen years old, they began to discuss his marriage. Looking around, I found the granddaughter of Tang Xianyue, the Shangshu of the Ming Dynasty.
Tang clan is born into a famous family, from a young age is everyone's bridesmaid's upbringing, very dignified and quiet. However, she was not happy with Zheng Jing, and she still had contradictions with Zheng Jing, but she did not stop Zheng Jing from taking concubines. However, Zheng Jing did something unexpected, he did not find a concubine of the Qing white family. Instead, he found the fourth brother Zheng Rui's nursing mother Chen Shi (Zhao Niang), and the two secretly communicated with everyone, and gave birth to a son, later Zheng Kezang.
Zheng Jing was naturally not good at telling his father directly, so he played a trick, he only told his father that the concubine had given birth to a son. Zheng Chenggong did not know that this child was smuggled in, and he was very happy that he had a grandson and gave a lot of rewards. But there are always people who know things, and soon, things will get in front of Zheng Chenggong. When Zheng Chenggong first heard about it, he was very angry and ordered that Chen be executed. Maybe it was true love, or maybe it was because of his son, Zheng Jing did not listen to his father's words, but quietly hid her.
As a husband and wife, Tang Shi naturally knows what her husband is doing, and she is not willing to make small reports. It was just that he was secretly sad, Tang Xianyue inadvertently learned about this matter, he heard that his granddaughter had been wronged, and he could not swallow this breath. Simply wrote a letter to Zheng Chenggong in the first year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1662), accusing him of not managing his family affairs well, and how to manage a good side of the land? Zheng Chenggong knew the truth of the matter and asked his brother Zheng Tai to behead his wife Dong Yougu, as well as his eldest son Zheng Jing and grandson Zheng Kezang.
Zheng Tai thought out of consideration, so he thought of killing Chen and her son, but Zheng Chenggong did not agree. The generals all believed that the lady and the young lord did not need to be killed, and the generals jointly disobeyed. Unfortunately, Zheng Zhilong was beheaded in Beijing, and the Yongli Emperor was killed in Burma. Under several bad news, Zheng Chenggong's body could no longer hold back, and he died of illness on the first day of May in the first year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1662). Dong Yougu, Zheng Jing, and Zheng Kezang survived with the Chen clan, but later Zheng Jing died of illness, and Zheng Kezang was given up his position under the pretext that he was not Zheng Jing's son and executed.
