Life Sense: Acknowledging one's ignorance is not the same as denying oneself

Life Sense: Acknowledging one's ignorance is not the same as denying oneself

In life, few people are willing to admit their ignorance, on the contrary, many people think that they are very knowledgeable, and always look for opportunities to show their self-righteous knowledge.

In the Analects of Zihan, Zi Yue: Do I know what? Ignorance also. There are very few people like Confucius who think they are ignorant.

Acknowledging your ignorance is not the same as denying yourself, nor is it humiliating, but many people don't think so.

Those who do not want to admit their ignorance subconsciously think that they know a lot, and even feel that they are prophetic, even if they do not know anything about some issues or have no understanding, they also pretend to express their opinions and hide their ignorance.

This is ridiculous, and its ridiculousness lies not in their real ignorance, but in their deception.

Life Sense: Acknowledging one's ignorance is not the same as denying oneself

"Zhuangzi Health Lord" has a saying: My life also has an end, and knowledge has no end. Human life is finite, and knowledge is infinite, and we cannot learn all the knowledge in our lifetime. The most correct way to do this is to use all available time to learn only for the day, and to constantly make yourself more knowledgeable.

Being able to recognize one's own limitations and admit one's own ignorance is a kind of sobriety.

But there are always people who lack this sobriety, and when they communicate or discuss with others, they have an omniscient look, a bombastic, and a convincing word, especially when they occupy the right to speak, they cannot beaked, in order to show their authority.

Acknowledging your ignorance requires courage and a heart.
