Foreign media use AMD set to play "God of War 4" and the result can run smoothly

Recently, foreign media PC Gamer posted that "God of War 4" runs very well on PC, so that we don't even need a graphics card to play. In the article, they used the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G APU to run God of War 4, and unexpectedly found that it could run smoothly.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700G is a slightly more expensive APU priced at $359 (2199 yuan domestically). This is the AMD 7nm process CPU, 8 cores, 16 threads, maximum turbo frequency 4.6GHz, integrated Radeon Vega graphics card, 512 GCN cores, frequency 2Ghz.

After some setup, the performance of the 5700G running God of War 4 can be referred to the chart below. At the default 1080P, the game's average FPS is only 23 frames, which is not very optimistic.

God of War 4 offers two options for the 5700G to improve frame rates.

The first is controlled by the Render Scale at the bottom of the Ares 4 game Display settings menu, setting it to the minimum render (50%), rendering the game at 960x540, and then boosting it to a native resolution of 1920 x1080 screen. The result was a bit blurry, but the frame count doubled to 43fps.

The second is the use of AMD's FSR technology. Although this technology will also cause some blurring of the picture, it will also achieve very good performance. PC Gamer recommends adjusting the FSR to balanced mode, although the frame count drops to 38FPS, but the game graphics are sharper (rendering resolution 1130 x 636).
