His life can be described as very wonderful, he witnessed the new China from scratch, such an old man, whether for the country or the family, is a great wealth.
After the children held a funeral for him, they began to sort out the relics of the elderly. At this moment, the children discovered the secret of the old man.
"Broken paper" one
When the elderly and children were sorting out the relics, they found a torn piece of paper pressed at the bottom of the box, from which it was not difficult to see how much their father cherished it. Although with the passage of time, the paper has long been broken, but under the careful scrutiny of the children, it was found that this is an award certificate.
The certificate is impressively printed: Comrade Lu Wenhuan, who was rated as a special meritorious service on March 3, 1950, was specially awarded as a glorious memorial to the Central China Henan Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
The appearance of this award shocked the children of the old man, who had been diligent and earnest for many years, and was an ordinary farmer. How could he have a certificate of merit for meritorious service, and his father never mentioned it in his lifetime. Is this award real or fake, and is the father really a hero as the award says?
With these questions in mind, the children of the elderly came to the local government with the certificate of award for confirmation. The matter was highly valued by the government, and the relevant departments were immediately ordered to inquire about the county records. Lu Wenhuan was a man
Born in 1921, Lu Wenhuan's parents died shortly after his birth, and Lu Wenhuan began his wandering life. During this time, Lu Wenhuan suffered from the hardships of life, and his life was hanging on the line many times, and he barely survived with the help of well-wishers.
Entering the society early, Lu Wenhuan lost the childishness on his face, more of a vicissitudes that had been weathered by wind and frost, and his eyes were full of perseverance.
When Lu Wenhuan heard that the Communist Party was a party that truly represented the people at the bottom and led the Chinese people out of oppression, he chose to join the Communist Party. After joining the army, Lu Wenhuan did not forget his mission, actively threw himself into the Chinese revolution, and participated in the torrent of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation.
In 1949, the former glory of the Kuomintang was long gone, and it became a street rat that everyone shouted and beat. Even a large number of senior generals of the Kuomintang were disappointed in the Kuomintang and chose to revolt on the battlefield and join the ranks of the People's Liberation Army.
Chiang Kai-shek saw that the strength of the Kuomintang and the Communists was no longer what it used to be, and that the number of Communists had an overwhelming advantage, and in order to return to the inferiority, he began to use his crooked brain.
He saw that in addition to the Kuomintang and the Communists, there was also an extremely powerful intermediate force in China at that time, that is, bandits. Bandits are perched in the mountains of all over China, and they are not only widely distributed, but also extremely numerous. Once a large number of bandits are recruited to join the Kuomintang, it is not certain who will die in the hands of the deer!
The Kuomintang began to use titles, money, guns and ammunition to bribe bandits to contain plagiarized PLA troops. In Lu Wenhuan's hometown of Lingbao County, there is a notorious bandit - Li Zikui.
Bandits in western Henan
Li Zikui was a local bully in Lingbao County, and due to the chaos of the war, Li Zikui got a gun by chance. Li Zikui, who was already tyrannical, took the opportunity to gather several outlaws, fell into the grass, and started a bandit business of robbing the house. Under the management of Li Zikui, the team continued to grow to hundreds of people.
The Kuomintang took into account Li Zikui's strength and influence and incorporated him into the first regimental commander of the provisional third column.
In 1949, the People's Liberation Army pressed the border with heavy troops, and Yuxi was already the meat on the board, allowing the knife to be used. The commander of the Provisional Third Column of the Kuomintang saw that the general trend of the Kuomintang had gone, and began to negotiate with the People's Liberation Army and prepared to turn against the people.
However, Li Zikui, who was born as a bandit, knew that he would not have a good end, and secretly gathered more than 5,000 people to obstruct the uprising. Under the general trend, Li Zikui's move was like a praying arm as a car, under the iron hooves of the People's Liberation Army, his troops collapsed in an instant, and he also fled back to his old lair, Majiazhai Village, Lingbao County.
In the face of Li Zikui's harassment, it really caused headaches for the Lingbao County Government, and the suppression of this bandit force became the top priority. In December 1949, the People's Liberation Army received a report from the masses that Li Zikui had appeared at the home of the landlord of Majiazhai. In order to end the Li Zikui issue as soon as possible, the People's Liberation Army immediately formed a commando team, and Lu Wenhuan was a member of the commando team.
Lu Wenhuan and the others first found the landlord Jian Security, and before Lu Wenhuan and the others could inquire, Jian Security was frightened by the commando's posture and did everything.
There is a tunnel in Jian'an's home that leads directly to the suburbs, and Li Zikui is resting in the cave at this time. The commando team chose to divide the troops into two routes, some of them blocking the exit of the suburbs, and some of them staying at the landlord's house. Due to the narrowness of the tunnel, Lu Wenhuan was led by Jian Bao to enter.
By the illumination of the light, the two entered the tunnel one after the other. Jian'an led the way in front, and said with a hesitant mouth: "Zi Kui, it is I who build the security, you don't want to shoot." As soon as the words fell, a black shadow appeared in front of Lu Wenhuan's eyes.
Lu Wenhuan immediately put a gun against Black Shadow's abdomen, and at the same time his head was also held up by a hard thing, and Lu Wenhuan knew that it was a gun. Out of the dark shadow was Li Zikui on the wanted list, and Li Zikui said coldly: "Brother, put down the gun, I will spare you from death." ”
Li Zikui saw that Lu Wenhuan did not make any movements, although he did not know the identity of the person who came, but Li Zikui, who was tyrannical and suspicious, pulled the trigger impressively. Fortunately, Li Zikui's pistol was jammed and no bullets were fired.
Faced with the momentary reversal of the situation, Lu Wenhuan did not choose to kill Li Zikui. Lu Wenhuan was given the task of capturing Li Zikui alive unless he had to. However, the tunnel is very narrow, it is really difficult to show his fists, and Lu Wenhuan plans to trick Li Zikui out of the tunnel first.
Under the balance of the two phases, Li Zikui chose to believe Lu Wenhuan, and the two of them walked towards the cave entrance under mutual protection. As soon as he walked out of the cave, Li Zikui directly held Lu Wenhuan hostage and shouted, "You are the People's Liberation Army!" Call your people out! ”
The ambushed warriors rushed up and surrounded the two of them. Li Zikui said fiercely, "I just knew that I would have to pull a cushion back when I died today." ”
When it was too late, Li Zikui's voice just fell, and Lu Wenhuan grabbed Li Zikui's hand and knocked the weapon off. The two wrestled together, even if Li Zikui's skills were good, it was not as good as Lu Wenhuan's life-and-death struggle on the battlefield for many years, and before his comrades-in-arms came forward, he subdued Li Zikui.
In March 1950, at the same time that Li Zikui was sentenced to death, Lu Wenhuan also received this award.
Although Lu Wenhuan made great achievements, he did not show off to his children, but chose to bury this glory in his heart. He does not seek utilitarianism, does not take credit for himself, and it is even more precious that he can afford to put it down. It is countless unsung heroes like Lu Wenhuan who have forged such a powerful new China.
