Before the Liberation War, Lingbao and Fuxiang counties were located at the junction of the three provinces of Henan, Shaanxi and Jin, with dense mountains and forests, and bandit activities were often carried out. Li Zikui, the leader of the bandits in western Henan, was born in a family surnamed Ma in Majiazhai in present-day Hanguguan Town, Lingbao City. When he was one year old, his father passed Li Zikui to Li Keqi of Xinzhuang Village in the same county as his son, and named him Li Xianwa, also known as Li Zhanbiao.
Li Zikui did not study well at a young age, and when he was 15 years old, he defected to the door of the bandit Qu San Province, began to plague the people, and then defected to the bandit Zhang Guangcun.

Li Zikui is very shrewd and ambitious, and gradually has his own team. During the Liberation War, Li Zikui found an opportunity to defect to the Kuomintang. After being incorporated, Li Zikui became the head of the Lingbao County Security Regiment and did all kinds of bad things.
In 1949, the general trend of the Kuomintang had gone, and Liu Xicheng, commander of the provisional 3rd Column of the Kuomintang Ministry of National Defense stationed in Lingbao and Fuxiang Counties, was preparing to revolt and surrender. He secretly contacted Hu Zongnan, and on June 4, Li Zikui took advantage of the uprising to lead 5,000 people and horses to sneak into Lingbao County, destroying the entire uprising plan and causing great losses.
Two days later, Lingbao County was liberated, and Li Zikui, on the one hand, knew that his sins were unforgivable, and on the other hand, he still did not die, so he ran into the deep mountains of Zhuyang and became a bandit of the old line and continued to do evil.
The existence of Li Zikui and others has seriously threatened the safety of local people's lives and property, and it is imperative to suppress bandits.

Since July 21, our army has launched many operations to suppress bandits, and finally eliminated thousands of bandits. As the biggest bandit leader in western Henan, Li Zikui is the strongest and most cunning, and he escaped by makeup and hid in his hometown of Majiazhai.
After we got the news, Li Zikui hid in the cave of the Majiazhai landlord's jianjian family, and immediately surrounded Majiazhai.
In the end, our army decided to send 12 people to form a commando team to capture the bandit leader Li Zikui, of which Lu Wenhuan, who was 28 years old at the time, was one of them.
In 1921, Lu Wenhuan was born in Jiuying Village, Lingbao City, Henan Province. Lu Wenhuan's childhood was unfortunate, he lost his parents at a very young age, and worked as a long-term worker in the landlord's family for many years, which also shaped his strong and brave character. According to familiar accounts, Lu Wenhuan admires heroes and likes to listen to others tell heroic stories.
In the 12-man team, Lu Wenhuan also led the way. The cave was very dark, Jian Zhi'an carried an oil lamp in front, Lu Wenhuan followed close behind, and the two walked cautiously, both afraid of arousing Li Zikui's vigilance and afraid that he would suddenly rush out.

Suddenly, Lu Wenhuan saw a black shadow flashing inside, and he reacted quickly, rushing in with a healthy step, and put a gun against Li Zikui's abdomen. The situation was very dangerous, because as soon as Lu Wenhuan entered, Li Zikui fired a shot. Fortunately, Li Zikui's "little eight tones" suddenly jammed. At this time, Li Zikui still wanted to resist, and Lu Wenhuan said majestically: "If you shoot, I will also shoot; at the end of my revolution, you will be finished!" ”
Li Zikui's gun was stuck, and he had to pull the slip sleeve, and Li Zikui, who had seen various scenes, did not dare to act rashly at this time.
But Li Zikui was scheming, he had a plan, threw the gun in a corner, and made a compromise appearance, as long as Lu Wenhuan went to pick up the gun, Li Zikui could wait for the opportunity to resist.
Lu Wenhuan has courage and strategy, he sees through Lu Wenhuan's little tricks and is not moved. Previously, he had repeatedly looked at Li Zikui's photo, and for insurance, he still asked sharply: "Are you Li Zhanbiao (Li Zikui's former name)?" ”
After Li Zikui admitted, Lu Wenhuan coaxed him to say that the commander had asked him for a meeting and escorted him outside. Li Zikui didn't know where he was determined to be finished this time, but he could only admit it. In this way, the bandit leader Li Zikui was "captured alive" by Lu Wenhuan and shot the following year.

The story of Lu Wenhuan's capture of the bandit leader quickly spread, and while becoming a hero, he was also awarded the title of special meritorious service and awarded a certificate of award.
At that time, Mr. Lu also got a promise that he could rely on this award certificate to find a decent job after he retired from the army. But Lu Wenhuan chose to hide his deeds and become an ordinary person, Lu Wenhuan moved from Jiuying Village to Gounan Village after retiring from the army, and he was willing to be poor, and even his heroic deeds were rarely told to others.
Villager Zhang Hongliang said: "The old man never took the initiative to tell the village that he was a special meritorious person, and when I was a child, I asked him, and he always replied simply." ”
In fact, not to mention the villagers, even his 6 children only know through old photos and some awards that their father once "caught bandits" and made meritorious achievements. But Lu Wenhuan did not let his family go out, and he often said that even if he had merit, he could not show merit and could not trouble the country. The family knew his temper and could only rely on him, not asking or talking.

Lu Wenhuan is the production captain of the village and an ordinary farmer. In difficult times, he got up early to earn his share of work and was also responsible for guarding the crops in the village. But his children did not even eat tender corn when they were young, and he himself did not rely on his status as a hero to receive relief food. Almost all the villagers said he had never reached out to anyone else in his life and was a "hard bone" .
Fast forward to 1994, Lu Wenhuan was 73 years old, he was usually tough, but there were many old injuries on his body, and at this time he suddenly fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. When the family was sorting out the old man's things, they found a "broken paper", and this "broken paper" was the award he had won for the special meritorious service. After the children looked closely, they were secretly surprised that their father was such a big hero.
At this time, Lu Wenhuan's identity and deeds were known to the public.
Local government officials said: "Lu Wenhuan is a great and ordinary true hero, and what he left behind is a precious spiritual wealth." ”

Knowing that Lu Wenhuan's hospitalization expenses were tight, he was immediately exempted from medical expenses, and the local government later took Lu Wenhuan and his wife to the town's nursing home to enjoy their old age, and repeatedly organized personnel to comfort this obscure old hero.
In 2011, the elderly Lu Wenhuan died of illness at the age of 90.
