【Synopsis】
The annexation of Austria by the German Empire in 1938 marked the beginning of World War II. In an ordinary family in Vienna, the butcher boss Berkeler, his wife Binel and his only son, Hans, were also drawn into the political vortex of the fascist dictatorship. Due to the persecution of Jews by Nuremberg law, the loyal and upright Berkeler had to break up with his cardmate Blatter. Hans, by joining the Nazi SA, became a big believer in Hitler.
