Two generations of famous courtiers, the Zhang family father and son have to be reused
Zhang Tingyu's fame has begun since the Kangxi dynasty, he entered the priesthood in the thirty-ninth year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1700), and has been serving as an official in the dynasty since then, serving as an official for fifty years through three dynasties, and is also a senior official of the Qing Dynasty. This time, it was the emperor's turn to be confused, the son was in the middle of the tanhua, and the emperor had the heart to commend the important subjects, but why didn't he appreciate it?
Zhang Tingyu's answer was even more surprising to Yongzheng, and he bluntly said: "This matter may be ugly." It turned out that since the establishment of the imperial examination, many powerful ministers in the past dynasties have used their power to cheat and seek personal gain, and have used their hands and feet in the imperial examination. Zhang Tingyu was a heavy courtier in the court, and there was no obstacle to using his power for his own son's personal interests, and in the end, he was still worried that the people of the world would suspect that his son's name was improper.
After listening to such an explanation, Yongzheng was even more impressed with Zhang Tingyu. With such a meticulous mind, it is no wonder that he has been reused by two generations of emperors. Yongzheng was also the emperor of Mingshili, and he also agreed to Zhang Tingyu's request to move his son's rank back.
