In 1948, Guo Junqing once again fulfilled his mission and was promoted to the post of chief of the Northeast Field Army. In the ensuing Battle of Hiraizumi, she led the charge as the leader of the assault squad.
With primitive and crude armament on one side and poorly trained battlefield recruits on the other, she had no critical power or any room to back down. In order to take the target of the attack, the second mountain beam in the east of the city, the only thing she could do was to grit her teeth and persevere, watching the deputy squad leader fall, she and the soldiers behind her could only go all out and fight with the enemy armed to the teeth.

In April 1950, Guo Junqing was forced to receive hospital treatment and convalescence due to overwork in military affairs. At this point, she could no longer hide her true gender.
