Xu Peicheng is one of the first batch of national first-class actors, a veteran artist with more than 60 years of art, and enjoys a high reputation in the field of Chinese opera. He counted the classic opera music works created by Shen Yin from the older generation of Lu Yi to the artists after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and believed that Shen Yin had a major influence in the national music education circle, cultivated many well-known artists for New China, and was the real cradle of artists. He stressed that Shen Yin established the Chinese Opera Music Research Institute and hired famous experts to cultivate talents for the study of opera music theory, which is a precedent in the national music academies, filling the gap in China's professional music education that lacks opera music, and will surely become an academic highland for China to cultivate high-end opera music research talents and deepen the study of Chinese opera music.
The academic forum consisted of five academic units, each of which included two parts: special speeches and academic comments, and the scholars mainly focused on the construction of the discourse system of opera music and the research of opera music methodology. 28 scholars from the Xiqu Research Institute of the China Academy of Arts, the China Academy of Performing Arts, the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Conservatory of Music, the National Folk Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Tianjin Art Research Institute, the Shandong Academy of Arts, Henan Normal University, Fujian Normal University, South China Normal University, National Cheng kung University in Taiwan, and Shenyang Conservatory of Music submitted papers to the forum.
