The academic forum consisted of five academic units, each of which included two parts: special speeches and academic comments, and the scholars mainly focused on the construction of the discourse system of opera music and the research of opera music methodology. 28 scholars from the Xiqu Research Institute of the China Academy of Arts, the China Academy of Performing Arts, the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Conservatory of Music, the National Folk Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Tianjin Art Research Institute, the Shandong Academy of Arts, Henan Normal University, Fujian Normal University, South China Normal University, National Cheng kung University in Taiwan, and Shenyang Conservatory of Music submitted papers to the forum.
