For his own achievements and the subsequent development of the "Detective Chinatown" series, Chen Sicheng said that he has begun to leave the series and focus on the latest science fiction trilogy.

"When you watch this series, you will like the funny character settings, exquisite suspense structure, seductive exoticism, novel shooting methods, etc., but as a director, I am more concerned about the theme behind the film, because the "Detective Chinatown" series has a deeper core behind these exquisite shells." After becoming the first "10 billion director" in Chinese film history, Chen Sicheng's next step in the work plan is unexpected, he said: "I will not direct "Detective Chinatown 4" anymore, I will spend my energy on the latest science fiction trilogy." Over the years, while making the "Detective Chinatown" series, I have also tried to find better partners, directors and screenwriters to work with. For example, I did the supervising producer of "Manslaughter" and found that Covin Lee was a young, creative director with a lot of potential to play. Because I am interested in a lot of subjects, I may be able to do a project in a year, and the "Detective Chinatown" series is already very mature, and I will give this theme to others to do and develop new works myself. I wish I could be like Kubrick, from "2001: A Space Odyssey" to "Eye Opener", from the earliest space themes, to war movies, and finally back to marriage movies. This is the path that the artist has to take, and there will be different works at different stages. At present, my new work "Mozart in Outer Space" is being filmed, which is a multi-genre work with science fiction elements, education and comedy, which is another challenge to myself, and I am looking forward to the feedback from the audience when the film is released this summer. ”
