In her youth, she came to Changsha to study, to the Tize Middle School, and later she came into contact with advanced Marxist-Leninist ideas in the student movement, and soon because of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, many students joined the party organization, which made Jian Xianren also join this advanced organization, when she used the way of student organizations to publicize the necessity of the Northern Expedition.
Towards the end of the Northern Expedition, the Kuomintang reactionaries suddenly turned against each other, changing the fate of countless students like Jian Xianren, and she had to turn her activities underground.
At a time when the Kuomintang reactionaries were constantly persecuting revolutionaries, the outbreak of the Nanchang Uprising was like a bright and smooth light passing through the darkness, which gave hope to countless revolutionaries, but the struggle for armed revolution was uncertain, and the contingent of the Nanchang Uprising was surrounded by heavy troops mobilized by the Kuomintang reactionaries, and soon they could only be forced to retreat to the provisional revolutionary base areas for temporary rest. The uprisings that broke out in Jiangxi Province were in full swing, and the uprisings in Hunan Province, which were nearby.
After the Autumn Harvest Uprising, successive uprisings broke out, which once overwhelmed the Kuomintang reactionaries, but they still transferred elite troops and planned to target the Red Army one by one, which was an important challenge for the Red Army just after the uprising. Shortly after the Hunan uprising, because his younger brother participated in the uprising, their brother and sister also became the target of arrest by the Kuomintang reactionaries, so Jian Xianren resolutely decided to follow his brother and join the ranks of the Red Army.
Unfortunately divorced from the marshal
Soon after joining the Red Army, she was highly valued in the army because she was quite knowledgeable, and she was also entrusted by the party organization to the officers and soldiers to improve their culture. At that time, the commander of the Red Army, He Long, happened to get acquainted with Jian Xianren in the cultural class of improving culture, and saw that Jian Xianren was very knowledgeable, so He Long often came to her for advice as soon as he had time, and the relationship between the two gradually deepened.
After the Red Army gained a firm foothold in the revolutionary base area, He Long and Jian Xianren married in 1929, and the wedding ceremony that was still in the revolutionary base area at that time became the happiest thing in Jian Xianren's life. In 1930, He Long and Jian Xianren had a daughter, but because He Long was commanding the battle at the front line at that time, he had not had time to come back to see his daughter, so he had to lead the Red Army to move because of the changes in the war. After receiving the notice of the Red Army's transfer, Jian Xianren, who was in the revolutionary base area, hurriedly packed up his things and then took his daughter on the road of transfer.
Unfortunately, in the process of transfer, due to the heavy encirclement of the Kuomintang reactionaries, the transferred troops were once divided into several parts, and the transfer troops where Jian Xianren was located were once lost contact with the main force transferred by the Red Army, and during the battle, because of the fierce fighting, she had to hide her daughter, planning to wait for the war situation to improve and move separately, and she also dressed up as a peasant woman. Unfortunately, due to the intensity of the fighting, when she returned from her post, her daughter had already died of starvation, which also devastated her.
After the Red Army faced a counter-offensive on the frontal battlefield, in 1934 Jian Xianren and He Long finally had some more time alone, but the good times were short-lived, because the Kuomintang reactionaries planned to raid the Soviet area again, which made He Long once again be transferred to the front. With the repeated good news back to the Base area of the Soviet District, this made Jian Xianren finally relax, and it was also during this period that Jian Xianren had a second daughter, in order to celebrate The triumphant return of He Long, so he named he Jiesheng.
