Feng Ping, one of the early revolutionary leaders of Hainan Island and the commander-in-chief of the Qiongya Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, was deeply spread in Hainan for the cause of communism and the Spirit of "bowing down to the cause of communism and dying after death" for the Chinese revolution.
On May 9, 1928, Feng Ping was arrested by the Kuomintang reactionaries because he was betrayed by traitors, and after his arrest, Feng Ping was unyielding and regarded death as a homecoming, and the enemy persuaded him to surrender, but he categorically refused, and said: "I live for the revolution and die for the revolution, why bother, my personal life and death have long been ignored." ”
On July 4, 1928, Feng Ping was taken to the execution ground and bravely became righteous at the age of 29.
Feng Ping was born in 1899 to a poor peasant family in The Village of Mede, Dachang Township, Wenchang County, Hainan Province, whose original name was Feng Fengfan. Later, after participating in the revolution, he changed his name to Feng Ping.
When Feng Ping was studying at a university in Guangzhou, he came into contact with revolutionary books and periodicals, and after in-depth research, combined with the national conditions of China at that time, he profoundly realized that only by taking the road of the October Revolution in Russia could he save the country and save the people.
In 1923, Feng Ping was sent by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to study in the Soviet Union.
In August 1925, shortly after Feng Ping returned to China, he worked in the Guangdong Farmers' Association.
The following year, the first congress of the CPC Qiongya was held, and Feng Ping was elected as a member of the CPC Qiongya Local Committee and Minister of Military Affairs.
On April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek launched the "April 12" counter-revolutionary coup in Shanghai, and since then the vigorous Great Revolution has failed, and countless revolutionaries and Communists have been ruthlessly slaughtered by the Kuomintang reactionaries.
At the same time, the Kuomintang reactionaries also carried out a bloody massacre on Hainan Island, and suddenly Hainan Island was shrouded in a white terror.
Of course, although the enemy's butcher's knife is sharp, it does not frighten the communists who are determined to be revolutionary, who turn their grief into strength and continue to move forward and continue to fight for the Chinese revolution.
In July 1927, the Qiongya Special Committee of the Communist Party of China unified the armed forces of each county into the "Qiongya Rebel Army" and established a headquarters, with Feng Ping as the commander-in-chief.
In November 1927, the Qiongya Rebellion Army was renamed the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, and Feng Ping served as the commander-in-chief and the commander-in-chief of the West Road.
In March 1928, the Guangdong Kuomintang reactionaries sent a large army to encircle and suppress the Qiongya Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, and in May of the same year, Feng Ping was arrested for being betrayed by traitors.
After Feng Ping was arrested, he was unyielding and vowed to die.
He said to the masses who came to see him: "Fathers and old brothers, I am Feng Ping, commander-in-chief of the Qiongya Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, thank you for coming to see me, the revolution is not afraid of death, afraid of death is not revolutionary." Killing one Feng Ping, and tens of millions of Feng Ping, the revolution is endless. ”
He said to the enemy: "I live for the revolution and die for the revolution, so why bother?" My personal life and death have long been ignored. ”
On July 4, 1928, Feng Ping and his close comrade-in-arms Fu Jie sang the "Internationale" on the execution ground, heroically and righteously, and Feng Ping was only 29 years old when he died.
