In November 1927, the Qiongya Rebellion Army was renamed the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, and Feng Ping served as the commander-in-chief and the commander-in-chief of the West Road.

In March 1928, the Guangdong Kuomintang reactionaries sent a large army to encircle and suppress the Qiongya Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, and in May of the same year, Feng Ping was arrested for being betrayed by traitors.
