After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Deng Yu, as Xu Da's deputy general, together led a large army to Hezhou, Wusizang and other places to pursue the remnants of the Yuan forces, deter the Tubo regime, and incorporate all these areas into the territory of the Ming Dynasty.
