Wuzi Liang refers to the five generals of Cao Wei's forces during the Three Kingdoms period, namely the former general Zhang Liao, the right general Le Jin, the left general Yu Ban, the general Zhang Guo of the Zhengxi Cheqi, and the later general Xu Huang.
When Chen Shou wrote the "Seventeenth Book of The Book of Wei in the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms", he combined the five of them, described the life deeds of the generals, and commented: "Taizu Jianzi martial arts, and the good general of the time, the five sons are the first", so modern people call it "five sons of liang general" or "wei five sons".
The Eight Tiger Riders were the eight clan generals under Cao Cao, who were compiled by Chen Shou in the history book "Three Kingdoms Zhi Wei Shu Volume IX", and they were all outstanding leading generals, loved by modern netizens, and honored as the Eight Tiger Riders.
They are: Cao Ren, Cao Hong, Cao Chun, Xiahou Huan, Xiahou Yuan, Cao Zhen, Cao Xiu, and Xiahou Shang. These eight generals either made great contributions when Cao Cao started his business, or after Cao Pi established the state of Wei, they defended one side of the town, each relying on wisdom and courage, acting alone, and was respected by posterity.
Since these thirteen Cao Wei generals were divided into two categories, who was more capable of them? Who has the highest official position? Who is the concubine of the Lord?
The "Five Sons of Liang General" was sharp in wearing a sharp, amazing combat strength, trapped in the attack, and after retreating, he became the main general of the Cao Cao era. During the period of following Cao Cao to the north and south, they made great achievements, basically large wars, difficult battles, almost all the key battles have their presence, and their official positions and titles have been continuously promoted.
Zhang Liao served as a former general, Feng Jinyang Marquis; Le Jin as the Right General, Feng Guangchang Ting Marquis; Yu Ban as Left General, Feng Yishou Ting Marquis; Zhang Gao as The General of Zhengxi Cheqi and Feng Yu Marquis; Xu Huang as the Hou General, Marquis of Yangping. Despite their outstanding merits, these five men never received the highest military rank and managed the entire army.
During Cao Cao's reign, Xiahou Huan served as a former general, Marquis Gao'an Xianghou,Xiahou Yuan as general of Zhengxi, Marquis of Fengbochangting, Cao Ren as general of Zhengnan, Marquis of Feng'an Pingting, Cao Hong as general of Duhu, and Marquis of Fengguo Mingting. After Cao Pi established the state of Wei, there were new changes in the military circles, with the general Xiahou Huan serving as the general, the general of the Che Riding being Cao Ren, the general of the Hun Riding being Cao Hong, the general of the Zhendong Army being Cao Xiu, and the general of the Shangjun army being Cao Zhen. During the reign of Emperor Ming of Wei, Cao Xiu was appointed to the rank of Grand Sima and commanded the world's soldiers and horses, and his authority was even above that of the Great General. Cao Zhen was appointed grand general, second only to Cao Xiu's Grand Sima and shortly thereafter Cao Zhen succeeded Cao Xiu as Grand Sima (大司馬).
The vast majority of the eight tiger riders were far inferior in merit and ability to use soldiers, but because they all belonged to the Cao clan and were concubines of the Cao family, the official position of Cao Wei was above that of the five sons.
Xiahou Huan, Xiahou Yuan, and Cao Ren will always be the core warlords in Cao Cao's heart, and it is understandable that they have entered the power center of Cao Wei.
