The success of the October Revolution in Russia in 1917 and the successive establishment of Soviet power in various places marked the establishment of the world's first socialist state. On 21 March 1919, the Hungarian Communist Kuhn Béla came to power and established the Hungarian Soviet Republic.
This was another red regime since the rise of Soviet Russia. After the establishment of the Hungarian Soviet, it faced a serious crisis. On April 16, 1919, France instigated Romania, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and other countries to launch a joint attack on Hungary in an attempt to strangle the nascent regime.
At that time, the Hungarian Soviet had only 50,000 troops, and was short of weapons and undertrained, while the Allied Intervention Army had gathered 150,000 troops, prepared, and invaded Hungary from all directions. In the face of a crisis,

After that, the Size of the Hungarian Red Army expanded rapidly, reaching more than 200,000 troops. The Red Army, which had formed combat effectiveness, often had an overwhelming advantage over the White Army, so the Hungarian Red Army counterattacked all the way and recovered all the lost land.
After the initial victory, the Hungarian Red Army pushed the front line offshore. In late May 1919, the Hungarian Red Army defeated the Czechoslovak army and established Soviet power in Slovakia. The Hungarian Red Army was required to withdraw from Slovakia, and in exchange the Romanian Intervention Army would also retreat.
At this time, the Hungarian leadership, considering that the country was seriously damaged by the war and did not want to anger France too much, chose to accept the French proposal and withdraw its troops from slovakia.
The results showed that this was just a trap set by the Western Allied camp. As the Hungarian Red Army retreated, the soldiers watched as the gains of the battle were lost and morale plummeted.
The Allies, seeing that the time was ripe, instigated the Romanian Intervention Army to regroup and launch an offensive.
What is more serious is that seeing the unfavorable war on the front line, all the real power factions and wall-riding factions in Hungary have also changed their flags and changed their flags and pointed their guns at the Soviets.
