After FSR, AMD launched another black technology that can improve game performance in this year's CES 2022 - RSR screen scaling technology. The technology, known as Radeon Super Resolution, claims to support thousands of games and get up to 70% performance gains.
AMD says that RSR is the same as FSR's algorithm, which simply improves game performance by reducing the input resolution - scale rendering - native resolution output under the premise of preserving the image quality as much as possible.
AMD said that RSR technology can be compatible with thousands of games, while supporting all Radeon RX series graphics cards (initial support part), it will be directly integrated in the Radeon graphics driver, players can open with one click.
In terms of performance, AMD claimed to be able to improve by up to 70%, and demonstrated a default frame rate of 222FPS at Warframe 4K resolution, and up to 346FPS after turning on RSR, an increase of 56%. In addition, AMD has not announced when the RSR technology will be officially applied, only mentioning Q1 in 2022, which is expected to see the dawn at the end of March.
