However, the tradition of working together in the same boat allowed the village to quickly gather many experienced fishermen and risk their lives to go to sea to save people. Lao Chen recalled that at that time, the fishermen's rescue tools were very backward, that is, the primitive man-made swing of the top of the wind and waves, and it took several hours for the small boat to approach their boat. They lowered the stairs and rescued the entire crew. A few hours later, all the tens of thousands of tons of ships broke and sank.
There were 22 crew members on the Greek merchant ship in distress, and with the help of the Dongfeng villagers, all the crew members were rescued. On this remote island, a group of brave Chinese fishermen reached out to cross the border in time to help at a critical moment. When the rescue came down, every rescued crew member gave a thumbs up and thought that the seaside people on our side were great. Such a big storm, risking to save them, they are very grateful.
