Lu Qingyuan was born in 1946 and studied under Master Zhao Shaoang. He has held more than 30 solo exhibitions around the world, including a solo exhibition at the National Gallery of Taiwan National Museum of History in 1985, a solo exhibition at the Sun Yat-sen National Gallery at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei in 1996, and a solo exhibition at the Guangdong Museum of Art in Guangzhou in 2013.
Lu is currently the president of Yunshan Academy of Painting, the consultant of Nantian Painting Society, the consultant of the American International Chinese Art Association, the consultant of Lingnan Painting Society in New York, the consultant of Lingnan Painting Society of Malaysia, the consultant of Lingnan Painting Society of Australia, the consultant of Hong Kong Female Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association, the consultant of Hong Kong Fenghua Creative Art Calligraphy and Painting Society, and the art consultant of the Central Media Culture Organizing Committee.
After returning to Taiwan in 1986, Lu was invited to participate in the 11th to 15th National Art Exhibition, the Exhibition of the Development of Chinese Art, the Five-Year Touring Exhibition of Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting in the United States, the Exhibition of Famous Chinese Paintings from the National Taiwan Art Education Museum, and the Collection Exhibition of the Lingnan Art Museum of the Academia Sinica. In 2016, yunshan painting institute was re-established in Hong Kong to teach students, and he was invited to participate in the global ink painting exhibition, the Lingnan School of Painting, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas painters' joint exhibition.
On December 28, 2021, the opening ceremony of Mr. Lu Qingyuan's works was held on the same day in Hong Kong, the "Global Ink Painting Exhibition" and the "Lingnan School Of Famous Artists Nomination Exhibition", and the works were exhibited.
Lu Shi is the author of three collections of "Lingnan School Painting Method", and his in-depth and simple exposition and decomposition of painting methods are well received by readers and have made certain contributions to promoting and promoting the Lingnan School. Lu also published the fourth series of "Lu Qingyuan Painting Collection" and set up [Yunshan Painting Garden] to teach students.
Mr. Lu Qingyuan lives in Taiwan and Hong Kong, the brush strokes are bold and free, the color is fresh and elegant, and the rendering technique is good at creating an atmosphere, increasing the artistic conception and appeal of the picture, and the works have a wide range of themes, flowers, birds, insects and fish, landscapes and animals, and the writing is jumping on the paper, with a unique style. His works are collected by the National Museum of History, the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, the National Museum of Art Education, the Lingnan Art Museum of academia Sinica, the Australian-Chinese Museum of History, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, and the Guangzhou Shixiangyuan Memorial Hall.
The Lingnan School of Painting was founded by Gao Jianfu, Gao Qifeng, Chen Shuren and others of the Republic of China, and its outstanding disciples Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai, Zhao Shaoang and Yang Shanshen, as the second generation of Lingnan School masters, inherited from the past and made great contributions to the promotion of Lingnan painting. Among them, Guan Shanyue and Li Xiongcai are engaged in the creation of landscape painting, and have long been professors at domestic academies of fine arts, cultivating talents and cultivating a large number of artistic talents. Zhao Shaoang and Yang Shanshen, who are mainly engaged in flower and bird paintings, set up a museum to teach apprentices based in Hong Kong, promote Lingnan painting art, train a number of high-level disciples, and have a huge impact overseas.

I met Mr. Lu Qingyuan through the recommendation of Brother He Wenhui, who introduced Mr. Lu's works to me more than a year ago and personally brought Mr. Lu to visit and meet. As a result, I was able to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Mr. Lu Qingyuan's art, and there is no doubt that Mr. Lu has reached a very mature level in inheriting the skills of his predecessors in Lingnan, and the themes also cover flowers, birds, animals, animals and landscapes, which are very comprehensive. However, what I pay special attention to is his eagle series works, and it can be seen that his eagle has made great changes and breakthroughs on the basis of the techniques of his predecessors, and his eagles are varied, full of power and vitality, not only writing about the various forms of the eagle, but also writing about the fighting spirit and tenacious character of the eagle fighting in the long sky. With my many years of experience in the promotion of the art of the arts, when a painter's work has written about the spiritual realm other than the shape, he must have a deeper life experience and a higher level of understanding. In fact, Lu Qingyuan walked from the crowded space of Hong Kong's high-rise buildings into the vast Land of Canadian life, and saw the vast nature, the clear sky, and many eagles flying freely, which was really fascinating. As Mr. Lu described, when the eagle perchs on the top of the cliff of the mountain, it shows the majesty of the king who has a panoramic view of the mountains, and when it hits the wind and waves, it shows the heroic spirit of the incomparably magnificent Xuan. All this fascinated him by painting eagles, and gradually integrated the spirit of reverence for eagles and his own interests. His works make people feel that there is a deeper realm beyond the picture, and gradually form his own artistic style.
Any successful artist in history must establish his own distinct artistic style. It is often not difficult to learn and inherit the skills of predecessors, but the difficulty is to digest the nutrition of predecessors, and must undergo a painful transformation to produce their own unique artistic appearance, so as to stand tall in the forest of world art, and to add bricks and tiles to the great library of human art and contribute. Today, I am pleased to see that after more than a year of hard work, Mr. Lu Qingyuan has added many new works, among which the Eagle series works have many excellent works, he is seventy years old, and the spirit of hard work and hard work can be seen.
