Early the next morning, however, the Japanese gendarmerie broke into the village and surrounded Yang Chunmao's hidden family. In the autumn of 1943, Yang Chunmao and two other comrades went to attend the party branch meeting in Xiaoxujiazhuang, and in order not to disturb the villagers, they lived directly in the Qingsha tent that night. However, in the night, another group of Japanese puppet troops rushed into the green yarn tent, and without seeing anyone, they shot everywhere. The three men who heard the gunshots quickly dispersed and broke through from different directions, escaping from the dense sorghum fields amid the chaotic gunfire of the enemy.
Yang Chunmao ran all the way to a vegetable garden in the southwest direction of Weiqiao Village, and was found by the villagers who guarded the vegetable garden. He stood up in a huff and prepared to leave, when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was the stationmaster of the reconnaissance communication station. When the two children saw him, they actually pointed at him and said, "This uncle is the one who beats the devil." The agent, who had thought that there was no gain in this trip, was overjoyed to hear his words, and he carefully remembered the appearance of the communication station chief, and quickly ran to a small detachment stationed not far away, leading them to come and catch the communication station chief who had fallen alone.
The station chief's name was Dong Jinke, and after being captured and returned to the Japanese gendarmerie, Dong Jinke only saw the tiger stool in the execution room and began to weaken his legs, and surrendered to the Japanese without struggle.
