Changde man's vision decreased again after cataract surgery, and the reason was "it"!

Mr. Lee consulted the staff.

Red network moment Changde January 11 news (correspondent Shi Huan) Changde citizen Mr. Li is an old patient of the cataract specialty of Changde Aier Eye Hospital, recently, he contacted the staff of the hospital and said: Recently, my eyes are not clear again, I don't know what is going on.

Mr. Lee, aged 39, was admitted to hospital in May last year for high myopia complicated by cataracts. Zhang Yu, a cataract surgery expert at Changde Aier Eye Hospital, performed cataract phacoemulsification + ZEISS trifocal lens implantation, which solved the problems of myopia, presbyopia and cataracts at one time. Now, the patient has experienced vision loss for more than a year after the operation, and the staff recommends that he come to the hospital for a detailed examination.

After examination, it was found that Mr. Li had developed a "post-onset cataract". This made Mr. Li very puzzled, wasn't he only changed the crystal for more than a year? Aren't crystals permanently usable? Is this a cataract recurrence?

Zhang Yu explained: "This cataract" is not a "cataract", which is a normal phenomenon after cataract surgery. In general, the younger the disease, the higher the chance of this. After the cataract patients have undergone surgery, the original "useless" lens has been removed, replaced by a new intraocular lens, the intraocular lens itself will not be cloudy, so there is no postoperative recurrence. Blurred vision after surgery is caused by opacification of the posterior sac. During cataract surgery, the anterior capsule of the crystal "opens" a small opening to remove the crystal nucleus and remove the crystal cortex; to support the subsequent implantation of the intraocular lens, the posterior capsule of the crystal is left intact. Because the intraocular lens is not the original part of the eye, individual patients due to physical reasons (such as young age), so that the intraocular lens stimulates abnormal growth of the crystal epithelium, and the proliferating crystal epithelial cells will make the posterior capsule gradually cloudy and thickened, so the posterior capsule is formed.

Mr. Li nodded after listening, so how to treat it now? Zhang Yu said that it is not troublesome to deal with, and laser treatment can be done in the outpatient clinic. The time is also very short, usually within a few minutes, after the treatment is completed, you can use your eyes normally and go home. Sure enough, after the laser treatment, Mr. Li immediately felt that his eyesight had improved, and there was no problem in looking far and near, and he shouted "Amazing, amazing!" ”

Doctors remind: After laser treatment, follow the doctor's instructions to use anti-inflammatory eye drops and go to the ophthalmology department for follow-up consultation. If there is mild pain, photophobia, lacrimation and other symptoms after surgery, these are symptoms of corneal incision irritation, which will gradually improve with wound healing, and can generally recover on their own in a short period of time.
