It is understood that the conference is sponsored by the Ophthalmologist Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and organized by the Zhongshan Eye Center of Sun Yat-sen University, and has been held for seven sessions so far. At the Clinical Research Master Forum meeting on the 15th, Professor Liu Yizhi of Zhongshan Eye Center presented the "Phase II Intraocular Lens Pouch Implantation and Ciliary Groove Fixation Treatment of Children's Lens-free Eyes: A Prospective Controlled Study", which explored the reduction of adverse reactions after cataract treatment in children and provided a more optimized surgical plan for helping cataract children restore their vision.

Professor Yao Ke of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine told the story of his and his team's research on the "old drug" vitamin A, hoping that vitamin A can be used more in the treatment of glaucoma in the future.

In addition, in the interdisciplinary clinical research exchange session, Professor Huang Huiqiang of the Cancer Prevention and Control Center of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Yang Yang of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and Professor Kuang Ming of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University also brought wonderful lectures, each of which fully demonstrated the clinical research achievements of experts in their respective research fields and led the development of medical information technology.

At the conference, led by Professor Zhang Xiulan of Zhongshan Eye Center, the first clinical randomized controlled trial of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery for primary angle-closure glaucoma combined with cataracts, pi and research assistants participating in the multi-center study gathered in the cloud to talk about the details and progress of the project, and the project enrollment is nearing the end, and it is expected that the results can bring innovation to the choice of angle-closure glaucoma surgery.

Focus on innovations in glaucoma surgery

The reporter learned that in addition, Zhongshan Eye Center has created a new digital glaucoma screening intelligent platform. The platform uses the mobile app as the terminal to create a digital glaucoma intelligent diagnosis system with artificial intelligence and cloud technology as the core, providing more convenient services for grass-roots doctors and patients to diagnose and treat glaucoma and obtain information on glaucoma diagnosis and treatment.
