Chen Qiao recalled that at that time, a hole was bitten out of the calf, and the blood had been flowing. "This wound itched on rainy days in the years that followed, and rotted when it was scratched." Because of this experience, after "Grass Dance" won the gold medal of the World Youth Festival Dance Competition, Chen Qiao called this medal "gold medal with blood".
