In April 2021, the Hongqi brand was listed in Saudi Arabia, with a trading volume of 46 vehicles on the first day. In June, Hongqi exported to Saudi Arabia again, with 234 H9 and HS5 models. In the same year, the Hongqi brand successively landed flagship stores in Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh and other cities. In September 2021, Hongqi's pure electric smart SUV model E-HS9 was exported to Europe, and only received more than 500 orders during the Norwegian pre-sale period, achieving an important breakthrough in the overseas high-end new energy vehicle market.

FAW's South African Kuha plant is china's first self-operated overseas plant, covering an area of about 87,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters, directly creating 240 jobs and indirectly driving more than 1,500 jobs.
