OnePlus really debuts LTPO 2.0! It's not the same thing as Friendly's LTPO 2.0

On January 11, OnePlus Liu Fengshuo posted that the so-called LTPO 2.0 and OnePlus LTPO 2.0 are not the same thing at all.

LTPO is called Low Temperature Polycrystalline and Oxide, and Chinese is called low-temperature polysilicon and oxides. AMOLED screens based on these two materials have an ultra-wide range of refresh rates, which in turn derives from adaptive refresh rate technology.

The core of this technology is to ensure high brush fluency, so that the hardware screen refresh rate accurately matches the software content frame rate, reducing the waste of power consumption caused by the screen repeatedly refreshing the same content.

Models on the market usually use the conventional "scene recognition" scheme, such as some manufacturers matching fixed refresh rate gears based on scene recognition.

In contrast, OnePlus' LTPO 2.0 enables frame-by-frame recognition of software content frame rates and matches the best hardware refresh rates at millisecond speeds.

Moreover, the one-plus solution is completely based on the in-depth self-research of the full link of software and hardware, which gets rid of the limitation of the screen's own frequency conversion mode, and does not rely on the adaptation of third-party APP, and can flexibly adapt in all scenarios.

Therefore, one plus 10 Pro can do the highest 120Hz in the moment of typing and touching the screen, and the finger can drop to 1Hz when it leaves the screen, which is the real LTPO 2.0.
