Since Zhu Yuanzhang ascended the throne as emperor at Yingtianfu on the fourth day of the first lunar month in 1368, and then he conquered Dadu and then unified the world, the rule of the entire Ming Dynasty has continued for 276 years in China's history. Looking at the 16 emperors who have successively ruled in the 276-year history of the Ming Dynasty, there are indeed many strange talents with different characteristics.

For example, Zhu Youxiao, the "Ming Xi Sect" who was obsessed with carpentry skills all his life, and Zhu Youfan, a model husband who only married one wife in his life, and Zhu Houxi, the "Ming Shizong" who liked to practice Dan cultivation, can be said to be the famous strange emperors of the Ming Dynasty.

However, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty that Xiaobian wants to talk to you about today is a Ming Emperor who is far more strange than the above emperors. This person is Zhu Houzhao, the 10th emperor of the Ming Dynasty, "Ming Wuzong", and in fact, only he can be called the most unique existence among the 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. As for what incredible legendary deeds Zhu Houzhao has in this life, the next small editor will introduce it to you carefully.
First of all, there are only 8 people from "genius children" to "absurd emperors".
Friends familiar with the History of Ming must know that the father of Emperor Mingwu Zhu Houzhao was the eldest son born to Emperor Xiaozong Zhu Youfan and Empress Zhang. As mentioned earlier, Zhu Youfan, the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, who had only married Empress Zhang once in his life, naturally had nothing to say about Empress Zhang's favor. Therefore, Zhu Houzhao was also infinitely favored by his father from an early age (he was already made crown prince when he was 2 years old).

Coupled with the fact that Zhu Houzhao was talented and talented when he was a teenager, he was usually able to quickly understand the teachings taught by the teacher. Therefore, Zhu Youfan was naturally very happy to have such an excellent son to inherit the unification. After all, generally speaking, such a wise prince can basically become a good emperor as long as he is carefully taught by a good teacher.
However, Zhu Youfan ignored one point. That was the distance between the eunuch and the emperor, far closer than the teacher. In fact, these eunuchs around Zhu Houzhao really single-handedly ruined this "genius child".
Liu Jin stills
These treacherous eunuchs were Ma Yongcheng, Gao Feng, Luo Xiang, Wei Bin, Qiu Ju, Gu Dayong, and Zhang Yong, led by Liu Jin, known historically as the "Eight Parties" (also known as the "Eight Tigers"). According to records, Liu Jin induced Zhu Houzhao to have fun all day. In addition, a palace was specially built in Xihuamen, and entertainment venues such as the "Leopard Room" and the "New House" were built so that Zhu Houzhao could enjoy it every day.
Leopard room
In the third year of Zhengde (that is, in 1508), Zhu Houzhao moved directly from the forbidden city to the new house of leopard house. According to records, the new leopard house where Zhu Houzhao lived had been built as early as the second year of Zhengde, and until the seventh year of Zhengde, the scale of the houses that were successively expanded here was as many as 200 (costing more than 240,000 silver dollars).
However, this new leopard house is not a place dedicated to pleasure in the general sense. Because Zhu Houzhao will also handle the affairs of the government here. Of course, this does not hide the hedonistic side of the leopard house's new house. After all, there are many secret rooms like labyrinths, and there are brothels, school grounds, Buddhist temples and so on. And Zhu Houzhao is also a wide range of prostitutes every day here, and his life can be described as very absurd.
"Wan LiYe Won"
As the saying goes: "What is good on the top will be very good at the bottom." And there is such a record in the "Wanliye Ye Compilation": "King Qiong qiong of the Shangshu of the Bingbu Department wore a blasphemous robe on his head, sneaked into the leopard room, and drank with shang all night." Yang Xunji, the former head of the ceremonial department, was recommended by Zang Xian, a servant of Jinling, and should compose miscellaneous drama lyrics and songs, which were juxtaposed with zhuyou. ”
It can be seen from this that Zhu Houzhao's daily life in the new residence of the leopard house is indeed more than that of the previous emperors.
Stills of Zhu Houzhao
In addition, after Zhu Houzhao came to power, he also abolished the internal officials such as shang bed officials and study rooms, which was mainly to facilitate himself to do more freely. As for the Sutra Feast Day, he had never heard it many times, and he didn't even want to go to the early dynasty. It is no exaggeration to say that the long-term boycott of the Ming Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty was learned from him.
At that time, the ministers of the Manchu Dynasty saw the situation and went to the court one after another, and the ministers of Geng Zhi even used their resignation to coerce Zhu Houzhao to come to the dynasty. But who knew that Zhu Hou was still doing my own thing, and the group of courtiers would naturally have no choice but to see that the advice was fruitless. Over time, the courtiers also became accustomed to it. Even, as long as Zhu Houzhao didn't do anything out of the ordinary, the courtiers basically resigned themselves to him.
It was not until after Liu Jin's ambush that Zhu Houzhao began to favor Jiang Bin and other courtiers. Moreover, under the inducement of Jiang Bin, he repeatedly went out on tour. According to the relevant content records in the "Ming Shi Wuzong Benji", "Ran Yule frolicked, nicknamed the group small, to the self-signed official number, the crown and the foot are scattered." It can be seen from this that Zhu Houzhao is indeed an emperor who makes all the courtiers helpless.
Secondly, the strange combination of "absurdity" and "bloody".
Through the above brief introduction, everyone may think that Zhu Houzhao must be a useless dimwitted. However, in fact, Zhu Houzhao was not without achievements during his reign. For example, Zhu Houzhao has made some commendable achievements in the military field. At the same time, as far as his own personality is concerned, Zhu Houzhao can indeed be regarded as a bloody man.

Take the historical event of the Mongol prince Boyan's attack on Daming in October of the twelfth year of Zhengde (that is, in 1517). At that time, Zhu Houzhao was excited when he heard the news, and quickly returned to Beijing to personally arrange the matters of the requisition. It should be known that at that time, it was less than 70 years before the tragic lesson of the "change of Tumu Fort", so the group of ministers heard that Zhu Houzhao wanted to "personally march" and all of them were all opposed.
However, round after round of advice from the courtiers was of no use to Zhu Houzhao at all. In the end, the Qunchen knew that "the arm could not twist the thigh", and could only agree to let Zhu Houzhao personally command the army in the name of "Great General Zhu Shou". The battle was fought fiercely, and the Ming army was once divided and surrounded by Mongol troops.
Zhu Houzhao was not afraid to see the situation, and personally led an army to the rescue, and successfully lifted the siege of the Ming army. Moreover, the two armies have gone through hundreds of battles, large and small. Zhu Houzhao not only ate and lived with ordinary soldiers, but even personally killed an enemy, and the morale of the Ming army as a whole was greatly boosted.
In the end, the little prince of the Mongol army knew that there was no hope of victory and could only retreat to the west, which was the famous "Yingzhou Victory" in the history of the Ming Dynasty. Compared with Ming Yingzong, who had an army of 200,000 but was defeated and captured in the "Tumu Fort Change", Zhu Houzhao only led 50,000 or 60,000 soldiers and horses to repel 40,000 or 50,000 Mongol troops and won the victory. So much so that after this battle, the Mongol army basically did not dare to have the idea of raising troops to commit crimes.
It is worth mentioning that this battle was personally commanded and arranged by Zhu Houzhao. Moreover, the tactics used are very correct. I have to say that Zhu Houzhao's military talent is indeed visible, and the Battle of Yingzhou has become the most glorious moment in his life.
In addition, on June 14, the fourteenth year of Zhengde (that is, 1519), Zhu Chenhao, the king of Jiangxi Ning, rebelled again. After Zhu Houzhao learned of this, he decided to go on a personal expedition again. However, this time, our Ming Wuzong Zhu Houzhao once again revealed his strange side.
According to records, on August 22, 1519, Zhu Houzhao personally led an army from Kyoto. Generally speaking, according to the custom, the army cannot take the internal dependents with them. Therefore, Zhu Houzhao and Liu Niangniang, who was favored by concubines, met at Luhe before the expedition. After the two met, Liu Niangniang gave a hairpin to Zhu Houzhao and set it as a souvenir for future meetings.
But who knew that when Zhu Houzhao crossed the Lugou Bridge on his horse, he accidentally lost his hairpin. Therefore, Zhu Houzhao lost a hairpin and ordered the whole army to stop advancing to find the hairpin on the spot. The whole army has been searching for 3 days, and the hairpin has not been found. It is rare to ask such a commander who treats the generals in battle as a child's play.
Portrait of Wang Yangming
During the time when Zhu Houzhao delayed the date of the march, Wang Yang had already quelled the rebellion of King Ning. Zhu Houzhao saw that this battle had been calmed down before it was fought, and his heart was naturally a little unhappy. As a result, he kept the news of the success of King Ning's counter-rebellion from reporting, and he continued to travel south with a large army.
Until Wang Yangming escorted King Ning to Nanjing for 6 months, Zhu Houzhao still led his army outside and did not want to return and be captured. Finally, Wang Yangming suddenly opened up under the painstaking meditation, hurriedly reported the victory to Zhu Houzhao again, and attributed all the credit to the great general Zhu Shou. As for the real situation of his own army and the battle of King Ning in Poyang, there was no mention in the good news.
Sure enough, Zhu Hou took care of Wang Yangming's successful report and ordered him to go to Nanjing to be captured. But who could have imagined that Zhu Houzhao, on his way back to the dynasty after completing his capture, would once again have a whim, proposing to release King Ning back to his fiefdom and carry out another rebellion, and then personally go out on horseback to arrest him. As soon as this remark came out, the group of courtiers suddenly felt that the five thunderbolts were at the top, and even the words of advice did not know what to say.
To sum up, although Zhu Houzhao had many absurd acts during his reign, he was not confused in major matters at all. For example, he killed the eunuch "Eight Tigers" headed by Liu Jin at the snap of his fingers, quelled the rebellion of The Kings of Anhua and Ning, and personally led a large army to repel the invasion of the Mongol army. Even in terms of people's livelihood, government decrees on disaster relief and exemption from endowment have been implemented many times, and these are all major events that Zhu Houzhao did during his reign.
In addition, during Zhu Houzhao's reign, there were indeed many talents among the courtiers. And this can also reflect from the side of Zhu Houzhao's reign, his reign is basically relatively clear.
However, until March of the sixteenth year of Zhengde (that is, 1521), Zhu Houzhao died in the leopard room (only 31 years old). And this Ming Wuzong, who only sat on the throne for 16 years, did what he did in his life, which was indeed the most unique existence among the 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
