Introduction: Speaking of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, I found a very strange phenomenon, that is, many people think that the sixteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty, none of them are Ming Jun. Among them, Emperor Mingwu Zhu Houzhao was the most brutally blackened, fainting, cruel, lustful, etc., and was labeled with various negative labels.
Even in the historical Qing Dynasty, whenever the princes did not study seriously, the emperors would solemnly reprimand: "Do you want to learn that Zhu Houzhao?" Zhu Houzhao seems to have become a negative teaching material, and it is described as unforgiving.

So the question is, is Emperor Mingwu Zhu Houzhao really as faint and incompetent as people say? In fact, I can only tell you one sentence, what you see is not the truth.
After the editor went through some materials, it was found that there were three main things about Zhu Houzhao being hacked.
(1) Zhu Houzhao is a hungry ghost in color, like to go to the house at night to serve private visits, whenever he sees some women with some posture, he will be abducted by Zhu Houzhao, and Zhu Houzhao built a leopard house, specially sheltered women, Zhu Houzhao often indulged in the leopard room for fun.
(2) Zhu Houzhao did not know the people, reused eunuchs, and in history, the notorious "Eight Tigers" were Zhu Houzhao's confidants, and the eight eunuchs embezzled and accepted bribes and committed wrongdoing, and the imperial court was made into a miasma.
(3) Zhu Houzhao disturbed the military camp, and once secretly ran to the border Xuanfu under the cover of the Manchu Dynasty's minister of culture and military affairs, and built the Zhenguo Mansion, proclaiming himself "Governor-General of the Military Affairs and Mighty General", and took over the military affairs with full authority, which was regarded as a child's play.
In fact, as long as they see these three things, most people will think that saying that Zhu Houzhao is faint and incompetent is light, and he is really an emperor who does not learn and has no skills.
But after careful analysis, you will find that the truth of the matter is far from being as simple as it seems.
(1) Emperor Mingwuzong Zhu Houzhao was lustful, which may not have wronged him, because he was such a person, but if Zhu Houzhao robbed the women of the people, then this is nonsense. As an emperor, so many beautiful concubines in the three palaces and six courtyards can be used to rob the women of the people? Maybe he didn't believe it himself.
(2) When it comes to Zhu Houzhao's unknown employment, this incident also reflects his cleverness. Because the ming dynasty's civilian bureaucracy was unprecedentedly powerful, there was even the possibility of changing the emperor's decision-making.
And Zhu Houzhao reused the Eight Tigers, no doubt in order to achieve a balance in the court, moreover, the power of the Eight Tigers always came from the emperor, and later Liu Jin committed a crime, Zhu Houzhao directly killed him, and the eunuch clique was always under his control.
Moreover, at that time, Zhu Houzhao also reused talents such as Li Dongyang, Xie Qian, Yang Tinghe, and Yang Yiqing, and the civilian officials governed the country externally, and the eunuchs balanced the civilian officials internally, which complemented each other perfectly.
(3) As for Zhu Houzhao's disturbance of the military camp, this cannot be denied, but at this point, it also reflects Zhu Houzhao's superior military talent.
Zhu Houzhao, who was in Xuanfu at that time, happened to encounter an army led by a small Mongolian prince. Zhu Houzhao personally made a command, using a small force as a lure, a strategy of encircling large troops, and a large defeat of the Mongol army, known in history as the "Great Victory of Yingzhou".
If Zhu Houzhao is really a faint and incompetent emperor, I am afraid that the tragedy of the "change of Tumu Fort" will be staged again.
From this point of view, although Zhu Houzhao made a lot of small mistakes, he was not ambiguous in the slightest regard to major military and state affairs. However, in the historical materials compiled by the Qing Dynasty, zhu Houzhao's meritorious deeds were brought to a few strokes using the Spring and Autumn brushwork, but on the contrary, Zhu Houzhao's various shortcomings were infinitely magnified and added oil and vinegar.
At the same time, we should not simply judge a person's good or bad by appearance. Sometimes what you see may not be true, but the wisdom and shrewdness hidden under Zhu Houzhao's playful and lustful appearance are actually the truth. Although Zhu Houzhao was not a good emperor with great talent, he was by no means faint.
